I fell asleep during halftime.... I want to see on occasion a power I with Montgomery back there and just smash the ball.  They tried it with Patterson. We saw Mitch miss on a simple screen. It seems the receivers rarely made yac because they had to stop and make a leap to catch the ball or dig it out of the dirt a lot.

The one good play from Montgomery was when he tried to run up the middle, saw the hole gone and split outside for 25 yards.

Bears needs to get Montgomery at least 20 touches per game.  He's got that leverage thing going on when contact is initiated.

Montgomery has been impressive, even though the line has yet to open barely a single hole for him.

That is the problem. No holes from the Oline. And having the ORT out sure didnt help. Oline not playing as a unit yet. No reps during the preseason.

According to Brad Bigg's article Massie had a Vertigo episode a few days ago.

I didn't see if there was any presser today but people I know have taken several months of medication to recover.

Gabriel certainly won't play next game with a concussion on a short week.

It seems that the Bears cannot have and keep nice things on the field for some reason :D

Instead of Patterson on that I formation thingy Nagy uses he should have Montgomery. Imagine what that extra blocker could do for the kid (he wouldn't keep getting hit at or behind the LOS).....

Nagy still is an ADD coach with regards to which folks are on the field in relation to the play calling. He seems to trying to be too cute fitting square-ish pegs into round holes. As such Nagy watch isn't over yet.....

That said, a win (of any sort) versus the Vikings would go a long way.....

To me it looks like a win against the Queens Sunday would parallel a miracle.

Cousin can't handle our D. We will win in a close one.

Cousin only wins when he has time ion the pocket. I am guessing he does not finish this game. We have been on the road for TWO games, BOTH WINS - I am guessing the D will be very fired up for the home crowd.

Bears defense needs more than being fired up when the 4th quarter rolls around.  They need healthy players and contributions from their backups.

But mostly they need an offense to put up points, especially when given good field position after turnovers.  They also need an offense that can keep the defense off the field - control time of possession.

The defense has been compromised in the 4th quarter of the last 2 games.  Offense put up 24 points with only 3 in the 2nd half.  That's not enough when you get  5 turnovers.

That's not really wishful thinking...

I keep thinking about this... unless maybe Nagy was trying to set something up for later. I mean right now you cannot assume anything based on personnel. If you think about it, a guy that is 6’2” 238 that runs a 4.4 forty, he can be used in a lot of ways. I can’t figure out why he hasn’t done more in the league.

Nagy has to stop trying to be too smart and just use the best players at their best positions, if for nothing else than to get a little continuity going in this offense.

I think that would go a long way to getting this offense to look at least average.....

Can't afford to go 0-2 in the Division (and at home !)

Go Bears !
