Both Long and Amukamara are signed through 2020...both are 30.

Amukamara probably has more of a chance of playing next year since he's doing well so far and there is no up and coming CB on the roster that can fill his shoes.  Long is coming off a dreadful Redskin game and is either underperforming or injured.  Bears have the 32 year old Ted Larsen as his backup Rashard Coward and the rookie from Notre Dame on the PS could be future options to replace Long.

It's a whole lot easier to find a quality guard than a quality CB.

Not sure why the writer from Da Windy City said they would not be resigned if they have another year.

Long is hurt.  He's had a hip injury the last few weeks.

This definitely Longs last year. He is hurt every year. They could also have Daniels and Whitehair at guard and find a center.

Prince has a year or two of real good football left.

Nothing against Amukamara, but he's lost a step, I want next year's 1st draft pick to be a CB.

There will be several holes to fix and no 3rd and 4th round picks.

Daniel's bad game last year was a rainy one too - had the ball slip out of his hand a few times

Its funny that even those that get paid to comment and write for the NFL seem to keep calling Chase Daniel with "Chase Daniels". Think I even saw an infographic during the game that even had "Daniels".

Career serviceable backup and they can't even get your name right :D

I didn't see the article but he might have been thinking they could be candidates to be cut since the Bears may have some upcoming cap issues.  But as far as 2020 - its Trevathan and Dix that are FAs and possibly Ray Robertston-Harris.

Raiders got destroyed by Seattle last year who arrived in London early.  The Raiders learned their lesson and are practicing in London now.  It may not be that big a factor and I get why Nagy wants to stick with the Halas Hall routine as long as possible.  But I think it would be advantageous to get the long flight over with.

We know Trubisky is out and sounds like Smith too, but I'd bet guys like Hicks and maybe Gabriel will be held out so they get extra time off with the upcoming bye after Oakland.

Can Bears defense contain Derek Carr enough so the Bears offense can put up more points than Oakland?

Certain games 'should' be winners and this is one of them. The schedule gets much tougher later, so they need to put full effort and time into winning this and not sit on their laurels expecting a win. If ANY impact player is available, he needs to play, IMO. I'd hate to see them lose a winnable game, lose to a tougher opponent later, and then miss the playoffs because they didn't win the games they should have.....
