But we dont have 2 1st round pics to invest in replacing him. Face it. Thats reality. Grasp it Bill.

I like the idea of moving Coward out to LT, or maybe Bars, sit Jay Leno, and play Larsen at RG.

No, he is not.  We seemed to have turned the corner when Lucas filled in for him.  Cut his asss.

I keep bringing this point up, but it falls on deaf ears when I do. Pace came to us out of New Orleans. So how does New Orleans keep protecting Brees? Do they invest a 1st rounder on OLine each

year? NO. They pick up players late in the draft, like Bill's demon Leno. And they mold talent. We dont seem to have success doing that. Check out the starting OLine for New Orleans and where or how

they were acquired. That will show you how good teams build OLines.

So your position is Leno and Massie are not being coached properly.  That very well could be, but when you look at the mistakes they make, week in and week out, over and over, it might be between the ears instead of a physical issue.

They changed offensive line coaching systems with Hiestand. Part of the problem is the new system and the techniques he employs. A lot of it involves different techniques and skills and getting used

to those systems and techniques involved. What the problem is exactly, I dont know. But in my opinion the problem began with Hiestand and the new system. My guess is if Leno were to return to the

old system he would be fine. Maybe finding players that fit that scheme might be as easy to find. Its not about necessarily a higher draft position it appears to be adaptability. Its like Lucas he seems to

fit. It seems the whole left side is out of whack. And the Left tackle is the hardest to get right.

The other part of the equation here thats ignored is that Leno worked beutifully next to Daniels at LG, even made probowl. So in addition to the technique switch there was the position switch which is

IMHO the wrong move. LG could be the real problem. And LT is much more difficult to replace than LG.

No way in hell. Coward doesn't have the footwork to be a tackle, watch the tape, he's unsteady on his feet as a guard so he'll never make it as a tackle.

Catch how badly Lucas looked on this week's tape never lies? Just fell on his face a couple of times.

Daniels just gets overpowered. Big disappointment.

Nagy keeps running traps where he has the OL pulling all over the place, but our OL isn't athletic enough to make those kind of plays - you watch the tape and it looks like a freaking Chinese fire drill. He needs to quit the cute stuff, which even a good line would find difficult, and just play it straight.

Bears have gotten more out of Leno than anyone could have hoped for, he stinks, accept it.

I think they should spend 1 second on a tackle and look to FA for another.
I don't know what they think of Bars but they sure wont let him play.
I suspect Amakamura Dix and Trevathan will get offres more than they're worth so there will be roster work on defense.

I love Trevethan but we got guys that can replace him, they have been showing that.

Prince will be a little tougher to replace, but he is definitely a weak spot on D.  Don't forget Haha is FA at end of season as well.

I personally would go

Rd 2 LT
Rd 2 DB
Rd 5 G
Rd 6 S
Rd 6 Best Player Available
Rd 7 K

Right now my preference is to trade down with both 2nd rounders and get as many extra picks as we can...

Hiber - we are fine at kicker. Pinero will only get better. He is #1 with most touch backs. He has a super strong leg.
