8-8

Barely beat a bunch of back ups.

Not a very satisfying win but a fitting end to a horrible season.

I am not sure how they get this fixed in one season.

Do you fire Pace and Nagy?  I would hate to waste another season under these guys if nothing is going to change.

They have very little cap space so forget any big free agent signings.  They have no first round pick so forget that.

If you keep Pace and Nagy I think you have to add O-line help in free agency.  Then hope Trubisky gets it with another year in the system and a better O-line.

Put me down in the replace Pagano camp also.  We need an upgrade for Floyd, and a motivated Mack.  With Roquan back, along with Kwait and and KPL, maybe bring Trevethan back, the D doesnt worry me.  Maybe replace Prince at CB.  Oh and Dix for sure.

On O, BOTH OTs please, although that wont happen, and 1 or 2 OGs.  Funny how Gabriel has been out with concussion for what the last 5-6 weeks.  Seriously what is up with that?  I think we are good at RB and WR, but man do we need a TE.  And Burton/Shaheen is NOT the answer.

Definitely need to bring in some competition at QB.  Not a clip board holder/cheerleader like Daniels.  Actual competition.  Someone who might flourish in this system.

Not going to get that from the draft with no first round pick.  So going to have bring someone in as a free agent.  That will likely eat up most of the cap space they have.

This game was like Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker.  It left me feeling empty and wanting so much more.  But it was at least a NFL game.

Disagree on the cap space.

Look at the players they're not going to resign.

10.5 million in cap space isn't much and has them ranked at 27th in the NFL.   The league average is 53 million.

The Packers have 34 million in cap space and that is who we have to catch.

Keep in mind we have a lot of contracts expiring (lots of one year deals) so that is a lot of players that have to be replaced.

This was our window and it may have just closed.  Nothing is impossible but this team needs so much help.

Thats not accurate.  It doesn't take into consideration players not resigned.  Do you understand if you don't resign players like long, Trevathan Amakamura their salaries don't count against next years cap?

No more talking about windows.  We need to build something sustainable that is at least a 10 win season every year.  fix the offensive line will be a big start.  Remove playcalling from Nagy.

Gabriel, amukamura and long will all be likely cuts. I think that's around 17 million right there.
I think Pace has enough cap + picks to band aid the glaring holes and make them competitive next year.  His job probably will depend on it and he needs to be nearly perfect.

I am quite aware that players who are not under contract will not count against the cap.  I am pretty sure so is a website that figures teams salary caps.

Long is under contract next year.  Cutting him will save about 8 million.  Trevathon is not under contract so his salary isn't counted at all.  The savings is already figured in.

Looks like we can save about 3 million by cutting Leno but will have 7.4 million in dead money by doing so.
