Cardinals blowing out the Nationals, Brewers blowing out the Cubs.

It's far from a given that the Cubs won't be in the "Wild Card Chase" in a week or two.

The cubs are going to win 95 games.  They aren’t in the wild card chase.

Hopefully they continue to lay down like this through the Cubs series this weekend.

Cardinals hold on. Nationals had 2 on, nobody out in the bottom of the 9th and did nothing.

Again, I hope the Nationals keep being this bad for 4 more games.

The Cubs are 83-57.   Finishing the season 11-11 would put them at 94-68 for the season.

To reach 94 wins the Brewers would have to finish 15-6 and the Cardinals would need to go 16-6.

The Cubs still have 3 games versus the fading Nationals, 3 vs the Pirates, Reds and White Sox. I have a feeling they'll do a little better than .500 ball against those guys. I predict the cubs will clinch a week before the season ends.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the last three games against the Cards. They won’t matter for the cubs for either the division or top seed but the Cards will still probably be playing for the WC or WC position.

Tigers and Cardinals tied at 3 through 7 innings. Tigers had first and third, no outs for the top of the order in the 7th but couldn't manage to score.

Giants tie the Brewers at 2 in the 5th on an Alen Hanson homer.

Jeimer Candelario!   Walk off 2 run homer against the Cardinals.
