The Bears announced they signed defensive back Marcus Williams on Wednesday. They placed cornerback Bryce Callahan on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Callahan, the team’s nickel corner, broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during Sunday’s win over the Rams.

Williams, 27, played two games for Tampa Bay this season. He made three tackles. The Bucs waived him from injured reserve with a settlement in October.

He also has played for the Texans and the Jets.

In his career, Williams has appeared in 51 games, with 15 starts, and made 10 interceptions and 27 passes defensed.

Callahan rarely makes it through a season unscathed.  But can't complain too much as the Bears season can be largely attributed to staying healthy all season long.

Think about our losses.  The Miami and NE game - Hicks was not 100%.  Giants game Trubisky was out and Daniel's turnovers and fumbilitis was the differance in that ball game.  Those 3 games and the Packer comeback are all are losses.

Bears will go with McManus and more 3 - 4 alignments with Calahan out...but he will be missed.

We should have won the Peckers game as well. In the New England game our special teams let us down.

Division Champs!! Seriously, if we are focused I don't see a team out there that can beat us.

My first concern after the game is the health of Eddie Jackson.  Hoping its a mild low ankle sprain (those high ankle sprains have long recovery times).

And how do you like #94 now?

Not everyone is going to play like a first rounder game in and game out especially when they are injured (see Kyle Fuller), but if a guy has talent it will come through in the end.

I loved the butt sack that Mack had on Rogers.  He got credit for .5 sack.

Facemask and a choke hold, no flag there...

“By any means necessary,” Mack said, via the Chicago Tribune. “The guy kind of grabbed my face mask, so I couldn’t even look at the quarterback. I didn’t know where he was at. I’ll take it if they gave it to me.”

Put me down as not liking the Floyd pick. Two things, injury and now he has legit talent around him. He's looking much better..

Fuller's the mystery man. He really wasn't all that. Now the talk is "he's one of the top CB's in the league"...

Put me down as continuing to dislike Floyd. Even a blind squirrel finds a QB er nut. And the Bears story of the day Perez has us unbelievably taking an edge with our first picki n May.

Fuller has been great for 2 years. Floyd will be great - 2 sacks yesterday when we needed them - he will have great year next year.

Floyd has been great the past month. He has been regularly meeting Mack and Hicks at the QB...

According to NFLN Eddie Jackson injury doesn't appear to be season ending.
