The way CJ Stroud is playing is great for the Bears.

There were questions about teams going after him as a top 5 pick franchise qb.

He’s silencing his doubters.

He’s thrown 4 touchdowns on 20 passes and 300 yards.

Carter didn't do so well vs OSU. 1 Solo tackle, 1 Pass defensed...that's it...
Looking up Anderson with Bama and nothing listed for him.....was he injured??

Carter was double teamed and still half the time penetrating into the backfield.  He forced Stroud out of the pocket quite a bit and they did running plays away from him.  They have a rotation so he was only in about half the time (which I thought was rediculous for him to be on the sideline for so many critical plays)

So, yeah he was a factor but I didn’t see Aaron Donald out there.

Results of the game have nothing to do with Stroud's evaluation.   Stroud was amazing last night.

I like him more than Young if I was choosing a QB out of this draft.  I don't think he has as much upside as Fields, but he's more QB savvy/developed passer than Fields was entering the draft.  Doesn't quite have the arm or athleticism of Fields, but can get the ball out faster.

He hired a agent and sat out the bowl game. Didn’t want to risk injury.

My problem with Stroud is he didnt have the receivers like he had last year. Yes he seemed to find some last night. But if he is to be an instant starter in the NFL after he is drafted, that team better have some very high

quality receivers to throw to. If not, I expect Stroud to have some NFL growing pains. I just dont see him as an immediate NFL superstar instantly.

So listening to sports radio there was talk about Tua having his third concussion this season and there may be pressure for him to retire fo his healt.

Just for fun, let’s say it happens and Miami decides they need Stroud and want the Bears pick.
They don’t have a first round pick just their later 2 and 3.

What players would you want for the pick.

How about Waddle, Jaelen Phillips and the 2 picks?

The whole team = no trade. Any such deal would be a giveaway.

Just a crazy idea popped into my head, what if we end up with the first pick, take Stroud, and then trade Justin, and pick up a first rounder, and get a top notch OL.  Would that be totally crazy?  I mean Fields isnt Poles guy.

No it isnt crazy. But the idea of somehow getting a top notch Oline might not happen for several years. It seems top notch olines are really hard to acquire, especially through the draft. Then you have to figure out who

Stroud is going to throw the ball to.

Well if we got a high enough first rounder we might be able to get one of the top 2 OTs.  Who is going to catch the ball?  That is another question.  I am listening to Hoge and Jahns right now, and they are saying Claypool isnt playing, Harry isnt playing at WR.  Two first rounders with talent, but they are not playing, why?
