That VT kid that got rave reviews, Garbutt, is only 6'1/275. He is kinds small for DT. But for an edge rusher he might be better adept for or DE.

He is my Son-in-laws cousin as well.  That is the personal reason why I want him to be drafted by the Bears.  From what I am told, he actually would love to play for the Cowturds.

So he doesn't aspire to play football in February?

He has been over to my house for my grandson's B-Day and other occasions.  He is a good kid.  I think they named him as my grandsons god-father.

My point was that Olines are well over 300 lbs and being an interior lineman and not a DE is not going to work well getting to the QB. VT also moved him around and outside which showed in the video. I wasnt saying

not to draft him, just not to draft him as a 3 technique. I surely wasnt saying he was a bad player or uncapable of being drafted.

I know he has been at some kind of pre draft workout camp or something. I think he is going to Indy for the combine. I know he isn’t playing in the senior bowl.

Carter has  character issues. Anderson is a better prospect due to that reason.

Yeah, I remember the Bears passing on a highly rated wideout years ago with character issues.  Bears instead took Curtis Ennis.

Can't always just draft Boy Scouts.

How many teams regret passing on Laremy Tunsil?

That second contract can often times can be a great motivator for rookies.

Got to understand these are 21 and 22 year old kids that haven't always had the best upbringing.  Most make better decisions as they mature.

A player who can push the pocket inside is harder to find than an edge defender.

My ideal scenario is they trade with Houston getting their second and again with Indy getting their second too.

At the 4th pick probably one of the two defenders should still be available and the second could produce a right tackle and receiver.

With Houston and Indy in the same division, if both of them fall in love with the same guy, we should be able to get more than their #2s from either of them.

If we trade with Houston, and Indy decides to stay put, we can look at Seattle or the Raiders.

Bears should be one of them....think most of us here wanted them to pick him and they passed right on by....

We not only passed on him, we traded up and took someone else…

I wanted to take a bat to my TV.
