What exactly is the risk with Carter? That he goes out and races cars on weekends? Did anyone question his ability during the season...when he was on the field? He was ranked the #1 prospect in the NFL before he turned into Speed Racer.
If Bears due their due dilgence when they met him and they're good with his mental state - then by all means draft him. There is no one at 9 with a grade close to him except one guy.
And you know you don't want me talking about him.
Claiming he was innocent and expected to be exonerated along with gaining weight and not finishing drills on his pro day does not inspire confidence is not a good look.
