If we have to clean house in management it better start with Ted Phillips.

Can anybody tell me what has been achieved under his tenure?

Here's where it gets fun : we ditch Pace and Nagy who built what we have today.

They are familiar with all players.

Then : everything starts over and here we go again.

What gets me is they DID get Fields and two tackles to cover him.

It's just BEARRSSE luck that both tackles went to IR.

 Evaluating them became impossible.

Now both are back and Jenkins is rookie high strung with no experience who wants to protect his QB.

I'll never fault him for a leaning curve.

Borom seems to be doing what he is drafted for.

Jesus ... we watch one or two games where these rookies played and we have our whole future judgement of them ?

What if your boss did that to you your third day on the new job?

 You wouldn't stand a chance.

Would you play Daniels at Gaurd or Center?

Never the less ... it has to be OL in the high order of the draft.

No matter who is in charge.

It has to translate on the field to protect Fields.

Yes of course we need more ... but lets start with the basics first.

F.A. and salary cap issues are a topic to be yet discovered.

If the whole fuckkin organization is gone ... like Phillips ... Pace (whom is rumored to be back) and Nagy ...

the answer is easy ... who replaces them ?

How do you do a draft until you know whose in charge ?

Moving Daniels to center is an option not just because it replaces Mustipher but it allows the Bears to put a bigger mauler type player in at right guard.  Kreutz was thinking that could be Borom.

But if you do that you have Tevin Jenkins and 2 open tackle spots.

Dont you usually have a swing tackle gametime that can replace either tackle who may be injured? So you need a LT, a RT and a swing T. Sounds like we need at least One LT possibly with our 1st pick

Bears really had nobody that had starting NFL experience on the left side going into the season.

Bears really don't know if Jenkins or Borom are the answer.  You can't base that decision on a game or two.

Best case is one of the two emerges on the left side and the other takes over RT.  You can re-sign a guy like Elijah Wilkinson as your swing tackle.  Ifedi is a decent RT/RG and Bars has played some RT but is probably an inside guy only.

I don't see how Justin Peters would return but he did better than expected but had some injury problems.

Bears have so many needs in draft you'd hate to see them spend a top pick on a LT project, because in the 2nd round that's what you'll get.

Olin Kreutz is calling for spending top FA money for the best LT they can get then Jenkins at RT and Borom at RG.

Sounds like a better plan than what they have now.

Problem is they won't know if Jenkins (or Borom) is the future LT before free agency/draft.

There wont be enough money for a top tier FA LT.  Bears will have so few players on contract with not a lot of cap space/draft picks to fill the team out.  He was on the score talking about Terron Armstead being the bears FA target.  I would love Armstead being a bear, but if you use all your cap on him your building the team with UDFA's, and minimum salary vets.

Sounds more and more like Pace is staying, I think the Bears arent going to totally rebuild in that case.  Some overpaid vets are shown the door (goldman, trevathan, whitehair), Daniels is resigned (and is the biggest contract bears give out until roquan) , and the bears spread the cap money around on mid tier guys.

I think what pisses me off the most is Ted Phillips who just cruised thru the position knowing that the fans would fill the stands ,

if he happened to hit on a combo like pace/nagy he could kick back and see the results, positive or negative it didn't matter.

He was safe no matter what.

We drafted a QB & two Tackles who played less games on OL then you do on DAA BEARRSSE.

I'd like to see this kind of a lineup 0f DAA BEARRSSE organization :

Phillips gone as I heard he is ... who replaces him should only care more about Halas Hall as a place for winners ...

rather than a lounge chair for a cushy salary , with an occasional toss of the dice for GM & HC.

Pace & Nagy get one last chance this year ... and that's all , one last chance.

Fields gets two guards in the draft as Daniels moves to center.

 Jenkins & Borom play OT.

Two WR's are drafted ... one DB.

Salary cap & F.A. ... baby you can pick that shiit better then moi.

BTW ... the price stays the same so we better keep 3 QB's because you never know.

Nagy has to go. Nice guy but just does not have what it takes as a HC or an OC.
