@BradBiggs
#Bears at #Commanders in Week 8 - on Oct. 27 - has been moved to 3:25 pm (from noon) with the CBS crew of Jim Nantz & Tony Romo on the call.

So, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, impressive rookie quarterbacks, will be in the spotlight for a huge national TV audience.

That is going to be a big party at my house.  The wife is a HUGE Redskins (she refuses to call them commanders like most of thier fans) fan.  I wont be able to live with her if the Bears lose.  She will have to move out.

I can visualize that.

 Here's hoping the week off doesn't make them lazy complacent.

Another step in the growth of this team will be to see if this team can not pull a Lucyball game after the bye. This season has started to have some very special moments though (Cole Kmet, first longsnapper to be NFC Special Teams player of the week etc). As of now this does not feel like the teams we've seen recently....

Thats what normally happens with the Bears, so yes we hope that doesnt happen this time.

The Bears won the game after the bye week last year, beating the Lions 28-13.

It was the first time they won the game after the bye week since 2013, when they beat the Packers 27-20.

Anyone think there’s credibility to the rumors Poles is interested in Max Crosby?

Of course he would complete the defense.  He’s 27 so is young enough but all the stars will come up for contract around the same time.

There’s a lot of chatter about interest but I don’t know if any is from credible sources.

The Oline is going to be this reason this season comes crashing down if anything. The defense is fine enough without giving resources away that need to be used to get a better oline (and ejecting that Oline coach would probably also help).....

While I 100% agree that offensive line is the greater need, a player like Cosby or Garrett from the Browns, completes the makings of an elite defense.  If one side is elite, and the other is pretty solid, we can go pretty far.

I sure hope so.  If he is not intersted he shouldn't be a GM.  I am sure he is interested in a bunch of players.  If the price is right he would pull the trigger.  If the price is too high he will stand pat.

According to former GM Dimitroff, the price for Crosby would be 2 firsts and probably a third or more if theirs multiple bidders.

Considering any one player is only a knee injury away I would rather save the firsts building the team since there's little chance of a superbowl this year.

Is Crosby enough better than Sweat to justify the difference in the price paid for each, assuming the estimates of two first round plus are accurate?

I would prefer a lower priced Hassan Riddick.
