I think Myles Garrett is another guy we could get for a lower price than Maxx…

I think the days of giving up two first rounders and then paying them for anyone are almost over.  Draft capital is so valuable.

It's going to be interesting about F.A. DE's and what's up and coming in the draft.

This college season should show to sign a vet or draft a rookie.

 Or maybe both.  :o

They gone:

LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The Chicago Bears have cleared two roster spots by making some moves on Friday including letting go of a former third-round pick from Ryan Poles' first draft in charge.

On Friday, the Bears announced that they have waived wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. and have released fullback Khari Blasingame. Both players have been healthy scratches for the past few weeks for the team.  Jones Jr. was a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and the first player on offense that Poles selected. But problems with fumbles led to him being benched as a receiver and on kickoffs. He also worked as a running back this training camp and got reps there in the preseason.

But with Jones Jr. being a healthy scratch, Poles has finally decided it's time to move on.

For Blasingame, the veteran was in his third season with the team but never really found a role as the team opted to keep an extra offensive lineman active on game days. Chicago has used Doug Kramer as a fullback in a jumbo package, opting for that instead of having Blasingame active.

The ESPN morning shows (Get Up, First Take) are wearing Eberflus and his staff out, as well as Stevenson.

Deservedly so. Incompetence is never a good look. Just heard that Poles and Warren left after the TD and were on their way down when the Bears lost their 20 second lead on the game. Kind of a metaphor for the whole organization, I think.....

I am not going to criticize Stevenson (I don't know the whole story about the taunting).  He was fighting hard all night out there - as long as he doesn't hurt the team with a stupid penalty he can do what he wants.

It’s a bad look for Tyrique.

It’s a much worse look for Eberflus and his staff.

Stevenson fell in the draft because of “character issues “

I don’t know what he did but yesterday’s near meltdown needs to be dealt with.

His actions on the Hail Mary play especially.

Yeah, I just saw the replay.  Coaching and character issue - lack of discipline.   It was a tough game but its like the guy running for the TD who spikes it at the 1.  Play hard all 60 minutes.

Well, we might as well figure they're in for another staff change by next season. They doubtful will make the playoffs and Eberflus is basically lost out there. He challenges things that are obvious to the naked eye and yet passes on challenges that should be thrown, such as the low pass midfield by Daniels that hit the ground. He sat with the flag in his pocket and should have tossed it......

Should have called timeout before the Hail Mary to organize.  And instead of a bunch of 5’10 DB’s maybe have a couple of your tallest skill position players involved.

And why is it Swift never knows where to line up. I swear every play Caleb is moving him to where he’s supposed to be as if he doesn’t know the playbook.

The announcers said they got to the line with two plays then were motioning so they knew if it was man or zone.  Caleb then picks the play they will actually run based on that.  He moves Swift accordingly.

It did appear to be what they were doing.

Just heard the Jaylon interview.  Part of me wishes he had the figurative headsets on and the ability to call timeout on the field at least pre-hail.  He knew how important that cheap 13 yards to Terry was.  Dan Quinn is starting to look like Arians 2.0 in missed opportunity.
