After the New England game, will the Bears lose out to finish 5-12?  Discuss.

No.  They will win one or two games they are not supposed to win inside the division.

A win on Sunday against the Patriots will buy a small amount of time.  Win and end this ugly chatter... for a week.

Truth is if we win this week, then beat the Packers at home the sentiment would change.  Especially if Caleb looks good against the Pack.  Not sure that is realistic but if it did happen, that's a turn in the right direction.

Chase Daniels did a show on YT highlighting how bad the offense was Sunday. I'm seriously getting worried that Williams is beginning to look like Fields. He's holding the ball too long, not seeing the entire field and hesitant to get the ball to the open man. There were several instances of recievers being open, some right in the middle of the field, and him not seeing him. This is not good and it certainly doesn't bode well for Sundays game.

I find that kind of talk unrealistic. I think the way we are playing or not playing makes it very prohibitive that we could beat our arch-rivals the Pack. We just arent in the same league with the Lions or Queens.

Right now we would have trouble beating a HS team. I am sorry to have to say that. The truth really hurts.

This greatly increases the likelihood of the Bears losing out and finishing 4-13.

From the Trib

While I was under the assumption Eberflus signed a four-year contract when he was hired, I’m now led to believe he actually signed a five-year deal that runs through the 2026 season. If you think about it, when you’re selling the idea of a rebuild and preaching patience, it stands to reason Eberflus would seek a deal longer than four years, and from what I’m told, I believe he got that. You may recall I asked Eberflus directly about the length of his contract when he was hired, and he declined to say.  Would having two years remaining on his contract factor into a decision on Eberflus’ status at the end of this season? I highly doubt it. The Bears have been spending a lot of money to do things the right way — the organization has really beefed up things on the business side — and I don’t think money will be a factor.  The noise has been ratcheted up with key players — including a handful of captains — openly questioning some of the decisions at the end of the loss to the Commanders. That’s never a good look, and it’s now easy to question the level of buy-in and belief Eberflus has from the locker room.

Wide receiver DJ Moore appeared on the “Mully & Haugh Show” on WSCR-AM 670 on Monday and was asked if Eberflus has lost the team.

“I want to say no,” he replied. “The message yesterday was that we know we’re 4-4 now. It’s just like being 0-0. But you’ve just got to go out there and start stacking wins like we did, and that’s the best thing we can do. Win and let the chips fall how they fall after we do so.”

After the Bears lose to N.E., the logical interim staff would be Washington as HC and Brown as OC.  But TBH I would prefer to give Brown a test run as HC.

You can wish in one hand...

If we had taken a poll at the beginning of the season (or end of last...) about whether they thought Eberflus should return as head coach, I'd venture to say not a single person here would say yeah, that's a great idea. I know I certainly didn't think so! ....he's gotta go, there's no other answer to this mess...

He is a decent DC not HC material.  Why the fvck the Bears can't get a real NFL offense going is beyond me.  It is infuriating!

Waldron is the number one problem.  Everlose is the second.

The defense is not good enough to hold up with the O going three and out all day long.

The play calling on offense is absolutely terrible.
