Assuming Eberflus is allowed to stay and promote Thomas Brown, why is Chris Morgan still in the building?  They should promote Houghtaling and brush a total failure like Morgan aside.  Sure you can say chickenshit, chicken salad all day long and they are literally running out of bodies out there.  But Morgan is just as big a fail as Waldron is and both dudes should be launched.

Poles allowing Eberflus to force an arrangement with a new OC and a holdover OL coach, ruin yet another rookie QB, and then claim they are doing things differently...for continuity sake...is just mind-numbingly stupid.

I swear both men have zero sense of self awareness and self preservation when it comes to their jobs.

I assume Poles will still be around next January and given the opportunity to do something that was so goddamn obvious to everyone last January.  I hope Warren breaks up this Trace Armstrong good ol' boys network once and for all.  The problem with the McCaskeys is they want to run the show comfortably.  That is why they dug up old fossils like Polian from the grave to "advise."  I had hoped that cutting off a tumor like Ted Phillips and hiring Kevin Warren meant a new way of doing business.  Unfortunately Warren failed to override Poles inexplicable allegiance to Eberflus last January.  And he is still too busy designing box seats at a new lakefront stadium that will never be built and allowing Poles to torpedo this season, his career, and his quarterback.

It is a given that Kingsbury wanted the Bears OC job and coach Williams.  You could see him in that presser that he just didn't want to talk about it and looked pissed.  Frankly, I thought that it was more of a fact finding mission on CW than a legitimate OC interview when the Bears flew over to CA to see him.  But from what I have heard there was no way Eberflus was going to even consider him because he is an insecure bastard who had this fear that a successful offense ran by a former head coach might threaten his own position.  Fuckhim and the idiot that kept him on board.

Pole's going all in on a Flus is the albatross around his neck because he did not do the thing that he should have and gambled on a BAD HC. He gambled and LOST. He is sunk in any sane organization and should be shown the door along with the whole coaching staff....

The McCaskeys are the albatross around this franchise's neck. And in any sane, good organization they would have appointed someone who could run the show- not someone who is just happy to be there because my granddad was founder of the NFL....

The fish stinks from the head on down. They can't choose winning level coaches on the highest stage of the sport. Embearassing.....

If there are no firings today, there will be next Monday after getting completely embarrassed by the Packers next week....

@kfishbain
One exec to @SandoNFL
: “Their offense is so bad.”

Another exec: “The GM won’t want to fire the coach unless the president is on board with that, and the president is not going to turn the reins over to a proven coach.”

The Bears lead Sando’s Pick Six⤵️

@kfishbain
Not a typo. More: “Execs around the league think a Bears structure featuring an empowered, engaged team president (Kevin Warren) all but rules out the possibility Chicago would seek established power coaches.”

Bah Humbug! This team isnt going to win another game this year with their 3 point offensive team.

Anybody thinking differently needs to check themselves in at their local "funny farm".

Flus still evaluating. Nothing to evaluate. Judgement has been passed. YOU ARE FIRED !.

Or, in typical Bear fashion, keep everyone around because of "culture", "collaborative team work" and "continuity".

George- this fiasco is on YOU. Historically, it feels similar to the Russian Czar and how he handled that whole revolution thing........

I dont believe its Flus's fault. Its personnel. You cant expect to change QBs and expect to turn a complete team around. Flus doesnt hire personnel. That falls on Poles.

And the "George thing." I dont believe ha has much to say or do about field operations. I think that is Poless's work area. Rome wasnt built in a day. Expecting

perfection this year is expecting too much.

Adam Shefter reported this morning Bears brass meeting and some change expected.

I don’t know if he really knows anything because obviously they would meet to at least discuss the situation.

But then he does have credibility breaking news.

I think the reason they don't want to fire a HC in season is that they think would reflect badly on their decision in the first place.

George needs to wake up. grow pair and see that by the clown show the Bears are now ALREADY reflects badly on their decision and keeping the status quo for "continuity" or because they genuinely like the guy and this just makes the decision to keep him for a lame-duck period is EVEN WORSE....

Bears will Bear.....

It is pretty obvious that Waldron has to go.  The offense is not working.

It's obvious, but sometimes with the Bears, the obvious doesn't happen..
