Oakland's 2 is looking really nice about now...

Wouldn't it be great if we won the Superbowl after the 2019 season and Oakland finished last, effectively giving them are 2019 1st round choice and swapping 32 for 33, in 2020 - for Mack?  LOL

That would be a dream!

The Rams cornerbacks are holding and pushing almost every pass. They have mugged the Saints receivers.

I thought the Rams were supposed to have a great defense? Brees barely touched.

Stafford cannot be happy that his security blanket was traded away.

Last week, Patricia scolded a reporter for asking a Tate question while not sitting up properly.

Today's headline on the Detroit rag...

For those who wanted to keep Cam:

Wednesday saw developments on a couple of fronts in the Saints wide receiver corps.

Dez Bryant agreed to join it on a one-year deal and Cameron Meredith sat out of practice with a knee injury. It was easy to connect the dots between those two things and it’s even easier with a Thursday report about Meredith’s condition.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Meredith is having arthroscopic surgery on his knee and will be placed on injured reserve. Meredith signed with the Saints as a free agent this offseason after missing all of last year with a torn ACL.

Meredith did not play the first two weeks of the season, but has seen action in the last six games. He caught nine passes for 114 yards and a touchdown in his first three appearances and has not caught a pass in the last three weeks.

Meredith saw action on 126 snaps in his six appearances. Some of that work could be headed Bryant’s way over the second half of the season.

Kudos to Pace (and the Bears medical staff) for not matching the Meridith deal.

The report I read said that Meridith also sustained ligament damage to the same knee in the preseason which may explain why he wasn't playing much to start the season.

Even though he's not a Bear any longer I'll be rooting for him to make a full recovery.

Well that makes sense about Meredith.  I thought he would be a good resign but obviously the Bears doctors knew something.  Pace has been making great moves, so does not surprise me.

Dez Bryant waited for the right fit, appeared to land it, and in just his second practice, he may already be out for the year.

The newly signed New Orleans Saints wide receiver suffered what the team fears is a torn Achilles, according to a report from the NFL Network.

ESPN reported the injury occurred on the last play of Friday’s practice.

The Saints, shortly after news of the injury broke, released the final injury report for their game Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Bryant was listed as a limited participant with an ankle injury and was designated as questionable for Sunday’s game.
Bryant, whom the Dallas Cowboys released in April, had just signed a one-year deal with New Orleans on Wednesday after holding off on signing offers from other teams, citing a desire for the right fit with a contender.
“I’m always going to be me, you know, who I am,” Bryant said Thursday after his first practice with the Saints. “I’m not a bad guy. I’ve always been a good guy. You can ask my teammates — my ex-teammates — how I am. I love the locker room. It’s like family. Every locker room that I’ve been in — from middle school, high school, college, to the pros — it’s always been like a family.”

Bryant, 30, was expected to help New Orleans make a potential Super Bowl push by providing depth in the passing game. He was set to enter his ninth season in the league.

The Bucs had 498 yards of total offense today.

They scored 3 points.

I hope others are watching this game tonight. Rams - Chief. Great game. 44 - 40 Chiefs right now - and the Chiefs were just down by 10. Not over yet.

My reason for posting is - BOTH these QBs can be beat - you just have to put pressure on them. Bothe QBs have turned over the ball that have lead to TDs.

That said, and my reason for posting - we need the Rams to lose so we have a shot at home field - I can't believe I said that. Probably he last time was 2006 - Super Bowl year.
