The face mask was clearly not grabbed. The Lion player grazed the mask and then grabbed the shoulder pad to make the tackle.

That is what I read.  So more preferential treatment for the star QB.

Don't get how you cannot see his thumb in the face mask and Rogers head turned.

It doesn't matter that most of his hand was on the shoulder pad.

His thumb grazed the face mask and Rodgers did a good job selling it. I wouldn't say it was a bad call at full speed. I could also see it being a non call.

I think the rule says you have to grab the face mask and not let go. Rodgers sold it..

I can't blame the refs for the call.  The Lion defender really flings Rodgers down pretty hard and there was contact with the facemask even if it was by a finger.

Has anyone mentioned that Rodgers had already completed a forward pass to start the play and that his only option was to run or lateral?

The Falcons returned wide receiver/kick returner Devin Hester to the 53-man roster, just in time for Hester to play on Sunday in the team’s first game since he became eligible to return from injured reserve with the designation to return.

Hester has not played at all this season because of a toe injury, which led the Falcons to rule him out of several games before going ahead with taking the step of placing him on injured reserve. Wide receiver Roddy White suggested this week that the Falcons need to make more deep throws, which could offer a role for Hester on offense in addition to a presumed return to return duties for the NFL’s all-time leader in return touchdowns.

To clear space for Hester on the roster, the Falcons have placed wide receiver Leonard Hankerson on injured reserve. Hankerson missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury and missed three of the last four games overall.

Hankerson had 26 catches for 327 yards and three touchdowns this season, his first with the Falcons, and is set to be a free agent come 2016.

Everyone is picking the Bears to win.  Which means they will probably lose.

Jackie,  I would like to think we build on what we did against GB, along with the revenge against SFO, and kick some ass.  As long as they don't get too cocky and start reading the press clippings I think we should win....fingers crossed.  Otherwise it is going to be a lot of beer drinking on sunday to ease the pain.  ;)

Yeah, I only watched part of it because I needed Morris to get 4 points. He got 1. How does one go from one of the best backs in the league to no impact.

I turned it on late in the 3Q with the score 3 to 3 - turned out to be a pretty good game towards the end.
