Well at least we are not the Browns....

A new version of events has surfaced blaming the Bengals for the A.J. McCarron trade that wasn’t.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer tweeted that the Browns sent a signed trade document to the Bengals to sign and send to the league, confirming the trade. The Bengals sent in the wrong document, one signed only by them.

The league needed both signatures to approve the trade, and the deadline passed before they got both.

An earlier report blamed the Browns for failing to get the trade into the league in time. The Bengals would have received 2018 second- and third-round picks in exchange for the backup quarterback.

Imagine how McCarron feels.  And Kizer.

And the Bengals blew a chance to get 2 extremely good draft picks for a backup QB...I thought only Angelo screwed up these type of documents.

So Deshaun Watson's out for the year with a knee injury in practice.

We all understand that can happen to any player.

I can't help remembering before the draft Colin Cowherd said he thought Trubisky would have a longer career than Watson because he had the kind of thicker body that is less succeptible to injury.

I didn't think Watson's game would translate as well as it did to the pro level because of his inaccuracy, but he sure showed well.  I don't want to hate on Watson because of Trubiskey, I hope both have great careers and that Watson stays out of the NFC North.  Don't know how his body type compares to RG 3, but wish Watson good health.  Two ACLs though...

I was worried about Watson suffering a leg injury ala RG3.  The question is will he come back as good as before, because RG3 sure didnt.

RG III  6'2"  223

Watson 6'3"  216

Trubiskey 6'2" 222

All three appear to be about the same height/weight, from looking at them though Trubiskey has a stouter lower frame.  Pray he avoids the major injury.

Aaron Rodgers 6'2" 225

The #Colts are at a crossroad. Im told it is very possible Andrew never plays again. The team is looking at a top 7 pick in the draft..

Irsay supposedly said the injury was "in his head".  That quote will when him over for sure.  Stupid drunk.  Just like the old man.  Apple didn't roll far from that tree.

I would like to see the Bears make a play for Eli Manning.  He would be a solid team guy and an absolute phenomenal backup QB in case Trubisky were to get hurt.  I know pie in the sky, but one can dream right?
