He's started his entire career....won 2 Super Bowls...you think he'll want to sit behind a rookie as an insurance policy?

First he'll want to get paid and second he'll want a legit chance to start.  Otherwise he'll retire if the Giants cut him and his $15M salary.

The guys to watch in the offseason are in Minnesota.  All 3 (Keenum, Bridgewater and Bradford) are free agents in 2018.  Minnesota most likely can only keep 1, but the other 2 will probably want starter money too somewhere.

 DAL,

With our shiity record ... has it ever occurred to you that we can draft another QB ...

with our first round pick ?

Think it through looking at our history baby. 100+ QB's starting ...

 none finishing.

Imagine MT with another first round pick at QB.

It would set the sky on fire.

Could THE CHICAGO BEARS think so far out of the box ...

that they set the trend for all other NFL teams ?

Remember : we only get the chance to do this when we suuck.

 It may never happen again.

Why two first round QB's back to back in two drafts?

One of them is always going to get hurt.

It suucks but it's the truth.

Why not stock up ahead of time ?

 Your thoughts ?

Eagles sign receiver Alshon Jeffery to 4-year extension

(but he wasn't good enough for the Bears)

Alshon didn't want to be a Bear.  He found a team he likes to play for and signed long term there.  I can't find fault with him for that or the Bears for not tagging him a second time. The contract he signed today is around what I remember as the bears rumored offer that alshon turned down.

My recollection was 4 years 12 or 13 million.
My Eagle fan buddy is not happy with the deal.  Thinks its a sizable overpay.

He can cry about the contract after the Eagles go to the Super Bowl this year.

Jay didn't have to face that Dolphin defense.   And Jay is having a typical 85.0 QB rating year...right on his career average.

More importantly the Dolphins go up 2 games on the Bears.   As it stands the Bears are 8th in the draft standings.

Brock Osweiler is coming in for Denver.  Broncos fans all over the world are on suicide watch.  Very possibly the worst quarterback in the history of the NFL.

What will the experts do with the extra hour of unused Aaron Rodgers coverage this week?

I'm not so sure Rodgers won't play.  I'm sure he'd like to eliminate the Lions and prevent the Vikings from getting home field.

Could go either way.

He damn near did...Allison doesn't fumble and who knows?

Packers would be smart to rest Rodgers, let Hundley get more experience (maybe showcase him), and improve their draft position.  But  Rodgers may have a say in it...
