The only problem with trading future picks is if someone were to trade their future picks away and then leave, whomever picks up that team would be in a hole starting out.
That is why all the trades have to be approved to avoid lopsided deals. We have always had future picks included with trades. That is nothing new. Being able to have the CBS site track them and include them in offers for players is. Now when someone puts players on the block you can include the picks in when you make the trade offers for those players.
