The "legal dispute" might have been as simple as paying for the server time.

We got about 6 inches of snow in Smyrna, Nashville got it worse.  The further north you head to Kentucky, the more they got.

How much did you end up with in Virginia?

You guys in the east got absolutely pounded. Same in Spring Hill as Smyrna, couldn't get to work Fri., gave it the old college try, took an hour from spring hill I-65 exit to 840. got off and headed back, took another hour. Tenn. simply has no snow removal equipment, nor training for drivers in snow. I was following semis at 30 mph with flashers on,   no idea where the road was, time to go back.

That is a lot.  I think the most I was ever in was the blizzard of 78 when I lived in Toledo.  I want to say that was 18"

18" is really not all that much.  With lake effect snow in northern Indiana I can remember many times when we had 18 inches of snow and schools neither closed nor started late.  1978 was a truly ugly storm, we got more than 5 feet of snow in a storm that lasted at least two days.  We had a total o 183 inches of snow that winter, which we all thought was unbelievably bad.... until considering that Buffalo, NY, which gets lake effect snow with a vengence averaged that every winter.
