So far Glennon looks like what he is, a guy who hasn't played in a couple of years and needs a lot of work to catch up to the speed of play.
Is he Shane Matthews?

I believe with Tampa he had twice as many TD's as int's, so the int's he's had are of concern.

Our wide receivers look so incredibly average as well as the tight ends.  It just doesn't look like we have anything to concern a defense, other than Jordan Howard bleeding them to death.

Bullard sure improved himself this offseason.  He's now quick and strong and getting penetration putting QB pressure.
The front three looks really good.  Howard looks like a good big guy addition.

I just don't see our corners making any plays.  Other pre season games I see show corners on other teams, even third stringers making some plays.  Maybe they should consider looking at some cuts when the time comes.

I was also surprised when I saw they put Jenkins in. He was the backup nose tackle they signed in the offseason. He didn't play badly either

Can't say that I focused on the backup NT play.  Bears seemed to be in a lot of 4-3 fronts.  But I'd guess that they'll need to keep one of the backup NTs on the roster which could be Jenkins, CJ Wilson and Rashaad Coward.

Bears look really strong at DE, but I'm kind of concerned about OLB depth beyond Floyd and Young.  Haven't seen much out of Houston - I think he may be at risk of getting cut due to his salary but we don't have much beyond him.  We know McPhee could be PUPd.  That just leaves Acho and Skuta and they are not real dynamic pass rushers.

CB and safety were huge concerns going into the offseason.  I think safety is looking much better with Demps and the rook Jackson.  Amos in reserve and the 2nd year guys Houston-Carson, Bush and Hall as well as Jones-Quartey all in the mix for backup spots.

CB play has not been outstanding but they are playing solid and are not getting burned for big plays.  First team defense as a whole has looked pretty stout, but I agree they don't seem to be playing real tight man to man defense.

We have a bunch of #2/#3 type WRs - we all knew that.   So far in the PS we have no idea what Kevin White can do.  And Markus Wheaton who would had much needed team speed is recovering from 2 injuries.

Cruz doesn't seem to be a part of the plan - I don't know why.  Gentry looks like a PS candidate.  Kendall Wright shows separation ability.   And Cameron Meridith's numbers last year were in part due to attention Jefferey received from defenses - now he will draw the focus.

A good QB will get production out of an average group of WRs.

Then the Bears are in trouble.

Jim Miller kept saying that White was not getting any separation or release off the line.  Which of course is not a good thing.

I would have paid to hear Jim Miller's broadcast instead of the dufus Cardinals broadcast NFLN made us listen to.

OMG, that Wolfley dude was unbearable!

At least call out who made the tackle.

And didn't they credit Braunecker for a catch made by the FB Freddie Stevenson and started blabbing about some Harvard connection.   I don't know how they could mess up on that one - the two look nothing alike.

They were basically saying they would rather have Blaine Gabbert than Trubisky.

I rewatched it on NFLN and yes their announcers were terrible.  Especially as JJ just said the dolt who sounded like Jessie Ventura.

Jonathan Bullard and Markus Wheaton headline the list of Bears remaining in Chicago, along with Jonathan Anderson, Johnthan Banks, Josh Bellamy, Bryce Callahan, Ka’Deem Carey, DeAndre Houston-Carson, Kyle Long, Chris Prosinski and Mitch Unrein.

I wonder if the Bears will give Aguayo a chance to win the job.

I would like to see them give him most of the kicks the next two weeks.

One miss allowed but if he misses more than that go with Barth.
