Read that Shaheen was on the field for 9 plays.   And Markus Wheaton must really really suck.  He got on the field for one play.  He's not a pro bowler but is he that bad?  Just don't understand it.

And the injuries leading up to and including the 49er game is incredible.  Amos goes out last week...and his 2 backups Houston-Carson and Deon Bush both get hurt, missing an opportunity for their first career starts.

Then rookie OLB Irving gets hurt after playing one game and they fortunately find Lamar Houston available.  Then McPhee gets hurt in the San Fran game.   So the 3 top pass rushing OLBs going into the season are out:  Floyd, Willie Young and now McPHee and Grappolo looks like Joe Montana back there with all the time in the world since now teams can double Hicks.

I don't know that we can beat Cleveland...at home...with this team.

I would rather lose all the remaining games.  Even the Cleveland game.  Let the Lions remain the only 0-16 team.  :)

Its goes against my nature to hope the Bears lose a game.  But it's easier to accept the losses when you know your draft position improves.  Maybe now I root especially hard for the Titans, 49ers, Giants, and Bucs.  Maybe the Browns - but only because they play the Pack this weekend.  (If we tie with any team they win, cuz the Bears have the toughest schedule in the NFL - ain't even close).

It's almost like I'm approaching the Bears remainder of the season as a fantasy footballer, rooting for the rookies (Trubisky, Cohen, Shaheen and Jackson) to improve as well as other young players (Bullard, Kwiatowski and Robertson-Harris) and of course Jordan Howard because he's the only player with ability to rack up NFL quality stats.  Also root for Fuller (because everyone was so against him) and Inman (cause I want  him to do good so we can bring  him back next year).

Well, it looks like the family of former Bears coach Abe Gibron will be celebrating the Holidays this year.

I swear if they play Shaheen 9 snaps again...  so glad we are mathematically eliminated at this point so the coaches should focus on development over wins.  At least if the front office has a say.

Yes and the key word there is "rather". At this point in the season with a 9 game losing streak and  high draft position in sight, its difficult to get angry with the losses. However what gets me angry is the lack of conditioning that gets players IRed. I'm sorry, but our number of IRed players for the season has to be the most in the league this year. Is it the drafting, the league rules or just bad breaks. We have to do a better job keeping players healthy.

and yet out of those 4 teams, only the Steelers are in the hunt.  Damn good coaching.

And good depth, which is a direct result of good scouting and player development...

Steelers also have had Rothlisberger, Antonio Bryant, and Laveon Bell for the entire season...it helps when you have healthy pro bowlers on your roster.

And I really don't buy that the Steelers have more starters out with injuries than the Bears.

Look at all the games Young has missed....Demps....Trevathian and Kwiatowski missed a few....Amukamora missed a few early...now Floyd...I guess Freeman's departure was PED related...but he was the starting MLB.

Offensively, Meridith and White....Miller....Long has been in and out

 DAL,

Look at the injurys and what I have been saying we should draft.

I didn't arrive at that conclusion from guess work.

Your facts back it up. The order of preference in any order:

 1.WR

 2.WR

 3.OL

 4.OL

 5.LB

 6.LB

 &.K

16 game starters from all of them ... miracles can occur.  ;)

Have you guys considered partnering with Cleveland?
