Mack's record while playing for the Raider was 25-23.


His now with the pace of the 14-34 bears and looking to get paid. Two first round draft picks in 2019 and 2020.


And then pulls hamstring in first game against the Packers in a 34-13 loss.

Mack had 74 QB hurries last year....the Bears, a decent D last year, had 100 total. Yes he makes them way better. Rodgers does not like getting hit anymore.

Mack wont move the needle much. Rodgers will still beat the bears twice this year.

Pack will most likely be favored against the Bears both times this season.  Mack may not even be a factor in game 1 regardless of his offseason conditioning program.

But if Bears can slow down the Pack offense, Bears offense has a chance to put up some points on the Packers D...it could get interesting.

Peckers have to cover Robinson, Gabriel, Cohen, Howard, Miller, Try Burton etc. - most of those guys were not on the roster last year.

And we are not running John Fox's horrific offense this year.

Much of the focus on Bears offense is on Trubisky and all these new receivers.  Understandable especially considering who we had lining up last year.  But focus needs to be on the O-line blocking for Howard and the run game.

Now Nagy may actually pass to set up the run, but focus is still on the O-line and keeping Trubisky safe.  He was sacked 5 times last season in Chicago...Nick Perry had 3.

Defensively, the priorities are in order:
1)  pressure Rodgers
2)  pressure Rodgers
3)  pressure Rodgers

I said the same thing.  Defensively adding Mack and Smith, should allow our offense to grow at a reasonable pace - not having to throw 40 times/game.  There isn't anything broken with Howard, and the threat of a more progressive attack should open it up even more for him.  but the running game needs to take the pressure off of the passing offense for now.

That's what I was thinking...initially.  Establish Howard then things open up for the passing game.  That never happened last year against the Pack as Howard averaged about 50 yards in each game and 3 plus yards per carry and put too much pressure on Glennon and Trubisky.

I'm not so sure Nagy believes he has to try to establish Howard early.

The front 3 is the strength of the Packer's defense,especially after adding Wilkerson.

Running between the tackles won't be easy.
