The difference between then and now is then you had to make your own way.  Now immigrants that have no skills get on welfare and we pay for them.
If a legal immigrant can work and make their own money with out taking tax payer money from the government then they are welcome as far as I am concerned.
Where did this ridiculous idea come from that everyone is owed a free ride?

So eliminate the government social welfare programs.  Eliminate them entirely.

That is real.  Not all, but some.  Mainly those coming from the lottery and chain immigration which is what Trump wants to shut down are a drain.  Would you welcome a stranger that doesn't speak your language into your house and pay for them if they add nothing?  Of course not, so why do we?

Many legal immigrants add a ton to this country and are more then welcome.  In fact they are needed.  We have lot's of citizens on welfare who can do the work of unskilled labor.

Favorite quote from Bannon's book: Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits.

method, here you go.  Proof I am right.  The shut down was caused by the Democrats and they caved getting nothing they couldn't have gotten before shutting it down.  Also the article states it was hurting them with voters in the middle and caving pissed off their own base.

Do you remember hearing that somewhere?  On yeah, it is exactly what I said before the liberals on this board went off the rails attacking me.

This is coming from msn.  Not exactly a bastion of right wing conservatism...

I think it is driving the left and the main stream media nuts that Trump isn't a typical run of the mill politician.  The people elected a "get it done" type of person.  Someone with a strong personality.

Unlike other politicians, I don't believe he cares about getting re-elected in 4 years so if he pisses people off while he gets done what he said he was going to get done it doesn't phase him.  I believe that is obvious.  He is not going to pander to them.  He is not trying to appease the left for future votes.  He is not going to try to be loved by the media.

Most get elected by promising **** they have no intention to deliver.  They get into office and do and say everything they can to stay there and win the next election.  This is the exact opposite of what Trump is.  He DGAF about a second term IMHO.  He is going to do his best to get done what he said he was going to get done.

JJ, How about we agree that politicians of either party that have been breaking the law get prosecuted?  This also includes their cronies in the FBI and DOJ.

Like the FBI and DOJ "secret society" that was spying on the Trump administration for Obama and working to either keep him from being elected or get him booted out of office if he was elected.  As well as the likes of McCain and other corrupt Republicans who were involved as well.

If we continue to look the other way because they are in "our" political party then it will continue to happen.  These people need to go to jail not just resign, not run again or even get fired.  They need to be prosecuted and go to jail.

By the way this wasn't just done for politics.  It was done to cover up their crimes against all of us.

 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/24/more-than-20-white-house-aides-have-been-interviewed-for-mueller-probe-trump-attorney-says.html

Notice how this administration is co-operating while the past administration, FBI, DOJ, IRS and Clinton campaign constantly lose 10's of thousands of e-mails, texts while erasing (like with a cloth?) or destroy computers and phones?

This isn't about politics right now.  It is about saving this country from such a devastating amount of corruption that if Hillary had won we would have never recovered.

Ever notice how almost every investigation into government corruption runs into obstruction and missing texts and e-mails?

It is almost like it isn't just a coincidence.

I mean pretty much the entire time this "secret society" within the FBI was working against the POTUS has their text messages lost.  Amazing...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/01/24/thousands-fbi-cellphones-affected-by-glitch-that-lost-strzok-page-texts-officials-say.html

The five-month stretch of missing messages covers a period of time that includes President Donald Trump's inauguration, the firings of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey and the standing-up of former FBI Director Mueller as special counsel to investigate alleged Trump campaign collusion with Russian officials during the 2016 election.

I don't know about text messages, but it really is not hard to lose some emails, or even extended periods of emails.

Do you agree that any criminal prosecution should be based on violations of criminal law and not based on your personal ire?

And can you tell me what criminal law you think McCain should be prosecuted for violating?

Absolutely.

He will die before he is ever prosecuted but he is corrupt as hell.  He was involved in the Uranium One deal as well as kickbacks in defense spending.
