A booming economy gives the power to the employees.  Employers can't afford to lose good workers.  As companies compete for workers benefits and wages go up.

I was unemployed for 5 months.  I had a ton of interviews but the economy sucked so they had tons of applicants and were able to low ball.  I ended up taking a relatively easy close non-management job close to home for way less money then I was used to making but it was enough to get me by.

Now that the economy has heated up I have switched jobs again.  I am getting better and cheaper insurance and will be making more then I was before I got laid off.

What a difference the Trump economy and tax cuts makes vs. the "new normal" stagnant economy the Obama administration gave us.

How many times does it have to be proven that lower taxes and less regulations helps us all before the left gets it?

One of my classes yesterday was reading a novel in which they encountered a reference to people throwing "buffalo chips" on a fire in the early 1800's in the NW.

The genuinely had no idea what it was... or what cow chips were.  Most thought the author was saying the characters were throwing strips of buffalo meat on the fire to cook.
