Anyone actually giving a damn about helping those in poverty or helping the homeless would push hard for ending the zoning and building code regulations which prevent this from being done in most of the country. It should not be used simply to "fight blight," but instead to allow freedom, and to help the poor (which is, after all, one of the primary reasons to support economic freedom).
