What most impressed me was the lack of penalties and the discipline they play with. Let’s hope that is real and not just a fluke.

Watching the game from DVR as I was working during the game.  Not much to **** about other than the first-string O-line and not challenging the catch that was ruled incomplete.

I am most impressed with the coaching and discipline especially with so many young players.

I think the Seahawks are going to be really bad so this is not a good barometer but I think the arrow is pointed up for our team.

I did not think the D would be good after shedding so many good players.  I think we will be pleasantly surprised.

I also like the O scheme.  It gives players a chance to succeed.  Now the O-line just needs to get their **** together and we might have a better season than most were predicting.

Seeing that we were ranked 32nd in preseason picking, I think I can see who 32 is right now.

Only saw the first 3 quarters, but I cant remember in how long that special teams looked competent.  That coach deserves a raise.  Tevin Jenkins looked darn good at RG, Larry Borom seemed to struggle a little.  Maybe Rieff comes in and shores that up.  And I was thinking being a Bears fan has been tough, but being a Seahawks fan this year is going to be worse.  ;)

Pleasantly surprised. The team looks confident, competent and competitive. In fact Seattle looks like what I thought the Bears would look like.

Negatives:
1. The Oline is not good enough (as if we didn't know that already). It at least appears they can run block, so that's a start but when the bullets start really flying, look out.....

2. The non-challenge on the catch sucked, and I hope someone asked about that in the post-presser. A lot of places make the availability to access replays a little more delayed for the visiting team, and I wouldn't be surprised for the "13th man" (the 12th of course being the fans)  a.k.a the scoreboard operator having an influence....

3. Pete Carol was a dick for calling a timeout at the end of the game after the Bears took a knee. Come to think of it, wasting an onside kick (and possibly giving any tells away) in preseason is not a smart move either....

4. Not as strong at the finish as the start and middle of the game. This is a good coaching point I'd be pretty sure Flus would use this week....

Positives:
1. Did I say they looked competent ? It seems that word is coming up a lot from anyone whose seen this team so far....

2. The players are flying around like their hair is on fire, and how long has it been since we've seen offensive linemen pushing the pile down field instead of spinning in place looking down at the play like those plastic figures from that electric football game from the 70s ?

3. The defense is also flying around. Just look at how many are around the ball either on each tackle or just afterward coming toward the tackle. HITS indeed.....

In conclusion, its only a pre-season game, where the only real take-aways are those who are injured and whether things look like they are at least firing close to all cylinders. So far they pass the eye-test. But unless the talent develops (and that takes time) this team has a long way to go. And right now its looking like a trip worth going on....

Go Bears !

Also noted that Seachicken 1st round stud OT from Mississippi that I liked had a game changing event last night. He had like 5 penalties in the game and all but single handedly ruined Seattle's offense. TYVM

Think everyone needs to remember who they played. The Seahawks are one of few teams projected to actually be below the Bears this season. Definitely not getting any hopes up from this game....

I am still waiting for the opening kickoff and dreading that all we've seen so far is the exception and not the rule. We've all been Charlie Brown to the Bears Lucy when it comes to opening kickoffs as far as the Bears are concerned......

Also keep in mind I am sure they are not showing everything they have planned.  No sense giving away the playbook in the preseason.  Just saying, things could get better....
