They suck and are getting worse instead of better as the season wears on.

We knew they were young and inexperienced.  It is showing up on game day as expected.

Hopefully the light comes on for some of them especially Fields.

It is embarrassing how bad the passing game is but as Bears fans sadly we are used to it.

I focused on the O-line the entire game.  Braxton Jones is solid.  Borom had a solid game too as did Jenkins although he did wiff on a spin move.  The problem with the O-line was primarily with Mustipher and Patrick.  Bears need to move Patrick to center and get Mustipher out of there.

Agreed. The problem is if Patric plays guard then Mustipher plays center which the problem. Get Mustipher out of Chicago.

Kyler Gordon is just bad. Quinn looks like he's taking the year off. LB play is weak. Should Smith be moved back to the middle?

Lack of talent and depth at WR.

Fields looks awful. Looks like he scrambles into tackles. Doesn't see the open man.

Team is terrible at handling the blitz.

Their answer to the blitz is the RB screen which worked very well when they finally used it.  Don't forget it is a learning process for our OC as well.  He was a QB coach in GB.

We caught them a few times with it then they quit sending so many as often.

Guys we all knew it was going to be a long season.  If they end up anywhere near 500 at the end it will be as successful season as we could have hoped for.

The biggest thing to root for each week is for Fields to learn and grow.  If he sucks this hard at the end of the season we are fvcked.  He has talent but can he learn to throw guys open and to read defenses?

I have noticed he has been throwing the ball away a bit more when there is nothing there.  That is growth.

Fields was much more decisive on where to go with the ball.  On the drop along the sideline by Mooney, the ball was low bu tnot a bad throw.  It was an easier catch than he made on the long pass.

This is what you get when you have no difference makers on offense. They are just a bunch of JAGs being coached by a bunch of JAGS. Ryan Poles has struck out this season. I wonder if he can get his **** together and actually draft offensive difference makers (Velus Jones. Really ?). Watching teams like the Bills and Chiefs just makes me kind of angry at the out and out incompetence of this organization. Hell, even the DOLPHINS are fun to watch....

At this rate they won't even make it to that SB they tend to get to every 20-ish years or so......

Defense played bad but when you give up less than 21 points you should be able to win any game if you have any professional offense at all. And that's something this team just cannot have for some reason. The McCaskey curse  of popgun offense continues unabated......

Demoralizing game for sure.

Also thinking a bit more on the topic, not sure that scoring 45 like the Lions and losing 48-45 would be any better :D  BTW they say thats the first time in NFL history that a game ended with that score....

Also, Poles was using the previous regime scouting staff reports, so there is that. Fire whoever has been evaluating TEs (almost guarantee he's a legacy hire whose been part of every scouting staff forever). Fire whoever whose been evaluating WRs (Mooney is a good 2 or 3 on almost any other team). You cannot be THAT bad at evaluating and picking these positions over this long a span unless you're trying to be that bad.....

Next year will tell a lot. Meanwhile the frustration of pop-gun offense continues.....

The Bears' offense needs - primarily - two things.  Mustipher replaced by a genuine NFL center (does Patrick qualify?  TBD).  A top-level WR (this will have to wait until 2023).

The best alignment is Patrick at center and any rotting corpse at LG.  Mustipher must die.  No offense to him personally.

Wow maybe there IS someone who agrees with me. Did that center from Illinois get cut? Anything is better than Mustipher, even my mother in her casket

No luck, Eberflus said the lineup will remain the same for a few weeks.

Mustipher allowed 8 pressures, rediculous
I don’t think there’s any FA available

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So the Bears coaching staff is insane, to be sure......
