Lucas Patrick looked as bad as Mustipher. Meanwhile Alex Bars starts for the Raiders.

Bring on Dieter Eiselen, he looked good in preseason.

Fields was sacked 36 times in just over 300 drop backs last year.

This year he has been sacked 23 times in 138 drop backs.

All the annointing of Fields was ill placed. He missed a easy, wide open pass to a TE for a TD. Then he proceeds to toss the ball straight into the helmet of a defender and it gets intercepted. This loss wasn't all him by any means. But it doesn't help when it's a easy toss for a TD and it gets overthrown....

And the Raiders let loose of their RG Leatherwood.

Bars had his flaws but I bet he could play guard or center for this team.

Fields has been disappointing, but I don't know how much to lay on him when he has the worst set of weapons and blockers in recent memory. Not to mention the atrocious play-calling.

I had it set to record because I was at work but it didn't for the first time ever.  I guess I got lucky.  I watched a youtube highlights of the game.  Fields has so much talent but he has to get his **** together.  He has the talent to be great.  But if he doesn't get it between the ears and get the game to slow down for him we are screwed.

He has the potential to be as good as Mahomes.  He has that athletic ability.  He has the drive.  But does he have the mental acuity?

What little I saw of the game last night was a qb that held onto the ball too long. He made some plays and some big plays but he was getting some time and not getting rid of the ball. What was hard to tell was if the receivers were getting any separation or if he is just trying to wait for them to get open.

I'm glad I have divested in the NFL in general. Used to be I would've stayed up and watched this game. I fell asleep by mid first quarter.. To lose to Washington.. Pathetic! Start of the season, writers were saying the Bears were the worst team in the league.. Now I believe it...

... and the Bears pull a Lucy......

The game was best summed up from a friend who picked the Bears (despite me telling him it was not a good idea) in a text after the game last night of 4 short words:

"What the **** was THAT ?"

That should be engraved on a plaque and nailed to Poles' fat ass.

The Bears have an Offensive coordinator who thinks he can fit square pegs in round holes, calling plays for a glacially minded QB, whose blockers (and I use that term in the loosest possibly way) aren't even at pee-wee level throwing to stumbling, non-handed WRs. Yeah. That's a plan Poles. That's really going to work. Good job....

Pretty much any good vibes from the last week's game are gone and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.

As it is they are jeopardizing their once every 20 or so year relevance game in 2024 or 2025 right now. What a ****-show on offense.........

It takes teams about a quarter of the season to begin to shake out what they are and we now have a pretty definitive answer- Not good. The Bears have an alright defense (at least vs bad teams). They have some good (not great) RBs. They have a kicker. But the rest unfortunately garbage. Right now "Go Bears" feels more like "Go Bears (and stay away)".....

Just when you figure a franchise cannot dig themselves deeper they find a new way to auger in even more. It may be past time to start the chant of "Fire GEORGE !".....

The loss helps my draft pick narrative.  Fields took a beating yesterday.  Someone said he doesnt trust his WRs and that is why he holds the ball too long.  Maybe.  But with that OL I would start trusting SOMEONE because I dont want to get pummeled.  Mustifar and Patrick can go in my opinion.  I saw Patrick getting pushed around as bad if not worse than Mustifar.  And that is saying something.  And Borom and Jones looked shaky on the edges.  Where the heck is Reilly Reiff???  We paid him some big money, lets get him on the field.  And Leatherwood, and any other stiff in the OL room.  Cant be worse than what they are doing.

Jones had his worst game last night.  That's going to happen especially for a rookie.  We can only hope Patrick moves to center where the demands of the position better fit his skill set.   But that might not happen until Cody comes back or they promote Leatherwood.

Fans hold their breath every time Fields drops back.  Is he gonna get pummelled?  Is he going to hold the ball?  Is he going to throw?  Is he going to take off?

This is not an NFL offense.

And with all the holes on offense - their front 7 on defense needs attention too.  No ability to stop the run and no consistent pass rush.

You know things are bad when Charles Leno played better than all 5 of our guys.

His offensive line is very offensive. It blows chunks

So Bears. Its become unwatchable. When they were ahead I went and dumped the garbage, I knew it wouldn't last. It didn't. What a syrup of sewage and bile the nfl has become.

Fields is not a pocket passer. He cannot learn to be pocket passer because he's going to be in traction BEFORE he learns enough to be a pocket passer. So the solution is to have him drop back in the pocket ? There's lead in the drinking fountains at Halas Hall, for sure.....

The Bears have another goof at OC who seems to think whatever "system" he has is plug and play with the talent (kindly using that term) on offense. Sure he can seem to scheme guys open (an improvement from the previous visored bozo) but seems to lack the common-sense to not trust his eyes as to what is being done on the field (or is that Fields ?) :D

Absolutely BRUTAL offense. You've got to go back to the 30s-40s to find comparable week after week. Its sad to see what a laughing stock on offense this team is........

This franchise is currently where it is because a glorified ticket manager is in charge of A KEYSTONE FOUNDING FRANCHISE of the whole NFL because of his mommy. That's not an air raid siren at SF. Its GSH spinning in his grave......
