Early in the season, Fields was sailing those throws over the middle, and I think that is why they went away from those balls. That and the slippery finger drops by mostly middling receivers.
Yeah, but I'm talking the short ones. A quick slant. Or just have the tight end go over the middle for 5 or 6 yards. Get the ball out of Fields hand quicker. It seems like every pass Fields holds the ball waiting...waiting... Maybe opposing defenses play a tight man to force tight windows and eliminate shorter throws. But then they have to deal with Fields running.
