I don't know what Borom was thinking when he totally ignored the DE.  He's serviceable but I don't think he'll be starting next year.  And Braxton Jones is getting help every other play on passing downs.  I'm seeing more flaws in Whitehair's game every week.   I'll give Jenkins a pass because he's playing a new position and was out about a month.

Watch Kelce last night and you'll see what a real center is capable of doing.  As bad as our O-line is - I still think you have to get an elite d-lineman in R1.

Bears are competitive with a healthy team but once the starters start going down it gets ugly real fast.

So I noticed on O, when Reiff went out and Borom replaced him, our production stopped.  Not saying that is the reason, just saying.  Then when Borom went out, Simeon made that stupid INT at the goal line.  We need a new RT for sure regardless.  And oh I dont know 10 or 11 new guys on D.  It kind of blows that we traded OUR 2nd round pick for Claypool, not that he wont be good, but because it will be such a high pick.  At least Claypool got some targets today.  Lets see what we got.  Mooney injured, not good.  I really am not upset at all about today, although I wish they would have been more competitive.

Let's focus on the good things that happened yesterday.  The Jaguars won a game which elevates them to the 4 win level.  And the Ravens lost which enhances that 2nd round draft choice we own.

That's it folks.

I havent seen anybody left on our schedule we definitely could beat. The closest would be the Lions on the road, but they already beat us once

And Poles has been given a blank check to run the team with no accountability.

Would you rather he be held accountable by George, or some of the other first family?

Poles having no accountability would actually be a plus, in our situation. I doubt it's the case.

The family itself has not a single clue how football works or who to draft or hire. They are all about the money and that's it. They have to hire help to hire coaches and GMs! May not be a worse football owning family in the league as far as understanding what they own and how it works....
The Fords with Detoilet are worse....McCaskets a close second....

Can't judge Poles or Eberflus based on the talent level of this year's team.  Half the starters are either journeyman 1 year guys or middle/late round draft picks thrust into starting roles.

Bears might be able to squeeze 3 or 4 starters out of next year's draft.  But there's not enough money to fix all the holes - there will be a more JAGs next year - just not as many as this year.

I'm beginning to think they need to beg Lovie to come back and coach. He's the only one of the menagerie they've had coaching this team that's had any success the last 30+ years.... that and pray they find another Urlacher in the draft....

Unfortunately there is no way we can move past Houston to the number one spot in the draft.

What we can hope for is a JOHN LYNCH FUUCKOVER like the Frisco G.M. did to us in the Trubisky Panic.

If we can nail some cherry front office enamored to some player we can clean up.

Never the less and no matter what trading down from the (as currently projected) #2 spot in the first round means TWO #1's ,

one lower down and one for dessert in 2024.

Like the NYG's did to us to get Fields. And how is the NYG's season turning out so far ?

 MEANWHILE ...

Why am I posting this here instead of on a 2023 DRAFT site ?

I know some things are hard to admit to ... like yes the future is motherfuucking coming sweetpea ... I've tried to forestall it for the rest of you that hide from it ... but GOD said it's going to happen.

And ... I just can't argue with GOD on your behalf.  ;)

When HE is right and you are in the past.  :o

Ah, just what i figured.

Ha ha. "I own you" He is chomping at the bit. He'd get off his death bed to play the Bears. Might be time to brush the dust off Peterman.

What's sad is this is the end. I 'ii miss him, in all those years he owned us.

Had I wished Halas Hall could have made it the other way around all those years?

 I dunno ... why don't you ask them ?

I can if I absolutely have to, root for the Packers.  But I can never root against the Bears.

I'll still be screaming my head off during the game - but afterward there is a calmness after these recent losses knowing that the Bears have climbed up the draft board.
