If Fangio leaves, I have no doubt that the Bear's D coordinator job will be the most appealing D coordinator position.  Pace will have his choice of the top available candidates.

Sportster is correct.  The Eagles did have pretty much the same playoff team as they did last year.  However, the Bears have a couple different players than last year's team that got killed by the Eagles;  Mack, Nichols, Roquan Smith, Robinson, Burton (if he played), Gabriel, James Daniels...and a new head coach/offensive coordinator.  But other than that it was the same Bears team.

I think this is just Sportster's way of dealing with the trauma of the loss.

A friend of mine just told me that the field goal was listed as officially blocked.  Don't know if the block materially affected the trajectory of the kick.

Apparently you are the moron who doesn't see the difference between a last place Bears team and a first place Bears team...no one is even talking about the Eagles having the same team as last year.

The Bears, however, are a completely different team...something your simpleton mind apparently doesn't grasp.

Who helps you log in?

My God...

Yes, the Bears are different...completely different, which is why the results of last year's game don't mean a damn thing. How are you not getting this?

Let me repeat...the results of last year's game between the Eagles and the Bears does not mean a damn thing with regards to any meeting between the two teams this season.

Everyone gets this but you. Do not respond. I will delete any further dumbass remarks from you regarding this topic. It is closed.

I still would take the scenario of 4th and goal with 1:00 minute left in game with our defense on the field for the win 100 out of 100 times.

That was the moment we had a chance to win the game and did not get it done.

We outplayed the Eagles and lost. That makes me feel worse than being outplayed. After QB I gotta think kicker is the next most important position on a team. They dictate field position on kickoffs and made and missed FGs and more times than not the difference between winning and losing. When a QB shitz the bed on a series he can come back and be a hero. When a kicker misses a FG he may not get the chance to make up for that error. When you've got a good one don't let them get away.

Here ya go Bears fans:

from the Sun times:

Think you would’ve made the Bears’ game-winning field goal? Well, now’s your chance to prove it.

Bears fans were quick to criticize kicker Cody Parkey on Sunday after he missed a 43-yard field goal attempt in the Bears’ 16-15 loss to the Eagles. Some have gone so far as to declare they would’ve made the kick — which by the way was actually tipped by Eagles defensive tackle Treyvon Hester.

Goose Island Brewing Co. believes that’s untrue and is willing to put a year of free beer on the line to prove outspoken Bears fans wrong.

I like the scenario (better) where the eagles were at midfield and our D should've stopped them back there. You're leaving out the part where it was 1st and goal and they had 4 chances to get it in. That's not a good spot to be in..

The other thing, I'm guessing they showed run cause it was an easy play when they scored..

I know people have been clamoring for Robbie Gould to come back, myself included.  But I am wondering how his kickoff distance has been since he was gone.  As I recall when Pace let him go, besides making a ton of money, his kickoffs were on the short side.
