And Trubisky's spin, run, and chuck plays into double and triple coverage have got to stop.  Especially in the red zone.

No one is expecting or asking for perfection.  Holding onto the goddamn football, common sense play calling, or an extra tackle or 2 on Wilson.  Just ONE of those 3 would have most likely resulted in a win even with zero pass rush against a battered OL and a bum 2nd string no talent QB.  Perfection will be required next week.

My comments was more to the complaints about Trubisky missing home receivers.  He's completing passes at 70% clip and he's now more comfortable throwing down the field.  Nagy just has to get rid of that WR screen pass.

Speaking of that.  Is it legal for the Dolphin receivers to start hitting the corner while the ball is in the air?   They did numerous times - reminds me of the Packers.

But yeah, that throw into double coverage has to be corrected, especially, given the down and the score.  Same is true with the throws across his body to the other side of the field.  Run the ball and pick up 4 or 5 yards if its not there or just throw it away.  Trubisky rarely throws it away.

I wonder what the outcome would have been if Nagy had not given the whole team one full week off.  Makes me wonder if Belichek does that, but I am guessing no.

Burton was definitely speaking from experience when he said that the bye week was way too early.  In 2016, the Eagles won their 1st 3 games including the blowout against the Bears in prime time.  Then they proceeded to lose 9 of their next 11 games after the bye.  Giants fans were thanking their lucky stars that McAdoo was their coach instead of that loser Doug Peterson.

Now while I do not think that the Bears are going to bottom out like that, it is a reminder that no game, even against shitty AFC east opponents not from NE, is a gimme.

Who said the Miami game was a gimme?   The Bears were travelling to Miami on a hot/humid day against a middle of the road team and were only favored by 3 points.

Defense had an off day but the arrow for the offense is pointing up.

Leonard Floyd's body slam of the WR was a thing of beauty. Dick Butkus must be grinning ear to ear.

The body slam penalty was a joke. Amendola never stopped, he was trying to break away, and the whistle did not sound. BS.

Stills 2 point conversion he only had 1 foot. Not sure why they did not overturn that.

You have to give a kicker less yardage. It's asking a lot to make a 52 yarder.

The 15 yard penalty on Floyd helped them to the first touchdown.

Floyd should have just held up Amedola when was squirming, then acknowledging the whistle, shrug his shoulders and let him go and drop him. Serve Danny the punk right....

:D

The tough little bastard refused to go down and there was no whistle.  It's the refs fault.

And of course this was "roughing the passer" on Floyd, but this that knocked out Allen was not...

I don't buy the heat humidity argument. This team came out of the gate lacking, badly.. Later in the game the d was gassed but for whatever reason this team didn't show up.

Overall I think the Offense had a pretty good game.  The Defense was missing from the opening kickoff.

Missed at least 4 scoring drives....2 fumbles and pick and missed field goal.

I HATED taking a knee at the end of the 4th QUARTER. WTF. Couple passes and you're in field goal range. They had 39 seconds.

Burton did not commit pass interference....another bad call.

Nagy had a few blunders as well.
