I saw something on TV today. It was a replay of a Bear play where Williams was taking a lot of time throwing. In the play the Bear WRs were followed step by step on their routes.

What that tells me is that our p[lays are too well known and scripted. That appears to be a WR coaching problem. You cant be that predictable running routes.

Its  a reason that Williams has trouble finding open receivers.

There are quite a few times during the games where I can look at the formation and call pass or run with great accuracy.

If my untrained eye can do that, I’d imagine opposing coaches/players are all over it.

Dave, realizing that we don't know the playbook and that the playbook isn't going to change at this point in the season, what would you focus on this week if you were Thomas Brown?

Run on first down for two yards and they’re already at a disadvantage.  Attempted screen to Moore or pitch to swift minus 3.  And then when a pass is obvious we scrutinize Williams.

Use Swift early and often, two TE sets which allow Kmet to participate in the passing game, more slants and other quick hitting passes utilizing the middle of the field…

Dave for OC!

If your offensive line sucks, at least do what they do best.  Run the football.

Atta boy. Excellent plan. The Bears look better on my TV when they score touchdowns, especially against the Pack.
