Hope he wants some of his "sons" there and we can make some good deals.

I don't think they had anybody at 3B or C.  So Bryant and/or Contreras might appeal to them?

Not sure about his first base options either, but who do they have that we would covet, other than Trout.

Angels thought they had BP problems before... wait till Maddon gets ahold of those guys.

La Stella!!!!!!!!!!

Serious answer is Jo Adell and Ohtani, but they won't get traded either.

I'm sure someone else pointed this out already, but the STL .130/.195/.179 line from the NLCS is literally the weakest in ALCS/NLCS history. Some job by Nationals pitching.

In 2015 NLCS against Mets, Cubs were 164-225-297 (.522).

Yeah I was a little surprised that one didn't show up on the list, and I thought an offense couldn't possibly look more inept than that in an LCS.

The oldest teams in MLB, by average age:

1. Nationals (31.1) - Made WS
2. Yankees (30.0) - ALCS
3. Braves (29.7) - Won NL East
4. Astros (29.4) - ALCS
5. Dodgers (29.0) - 106 wins
6. Cards (28. 8) - Won NL Central

But yeah, aim for those cheap young guys. Right, savvy MLB execs?

That's why Cubs won before Grampa Rossy retired

Interesting article from Baseball Prospectus that provides evidence that conventional wisdom on ballpark shadows may be wrong. Based on this study, there's not much evidence that mid/late afternoon shadows impact the hitters' ability to hit.

I don't have access to the article but you can put me down as more than a little skeptical.

I still wonder why MLB gave the Houston Astros a waiver and allowed a 315' left field wall.

Bullpen games on both sides in Game 6 of the ALCS.  Welcome to modern major league baseball.

The Astros are bringing their 8th inning guy into the game in the 3rd inning.  Yes, he's been hampered by injury, but still.  This is amazing.

Playoff baseball is fun.

Hypothetical:

Game 6.  Bottom of the seventh, no action for the Astros.  Astros up by one.  You've blown through all of your "good" relievers.  Do you warm up Cole and bring him in to finish the game, effectively taking him out the mix for a Game 7?
