Jacob deGrom gets knocked around by the A's---who are 29th in majors in runs scored.

Here's how that happened:

That's Baseball!

Wow, a 20-game winner.

Kyle Wright wins #20 on Saturday.  Nobody else has more than 17.

Years ago, he would be considered a near lock for NL CYA.

In todays game, I haven’t heard his name mentioned at all.

Yeah you're right, and he doesn't deserve CYA.

But, it's still an impressive accomplishment and worth noting.

" So, for those who love the game, it's a fun event. Join the fun!"

Reb, it's a lot more fun driving you batshit crazy.

Another fun fact about Pujols (except to Curt, poor soul, still tormented by the legacy of Pujols).

Pujols career batting average against, in the aggregate, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Clayton Kershaw, Johan Santana, Randy Johnson, Tom Glavine:

.367

Starting to feel guilty about tormenting Curt with Pujols tidbits and accomplishments.

So, as a gesture of good faith, there's this...

Curt, did you know that Lou Brock's lifetime BA and OPS against Cubs was .334 and .856----way, way higher than his overall career .293 BA and .753 OPS??

Kris Bryant confirmed Saturday that he won't return this season. He played just 42 games in his first season with the Rockies

Gotta find a way to give out co-MVPs this year.  Ohtani and Judge both deserve it and given the differences in the source of their value there really isn't any way to meaningfully compare them.

It would help if the Hank Aaron award would become a higher profile award…

Some think that winning the Triple Crown would put Judge ahead of Ohtani for MVP.  How much more valuable is a Triple Crown winner compared to one who just misses the Triple Crown?
