Gallen and Sandy Alcantara are #2 and #3 leaders in NL ERA (Julio Urias #1).
Cardinals traded away BOTH Alcantara and Gallen to the Marlins in the same deal, for two years of Marcell Ozuna, at the 2017 Winter meetings.
Yikes.
Wow. Did not know this.
Impossible to know how they'd have developed in the Stl org, but given the Cardinals' track record, have to imagine both Alcantarra and Gallen would have done well for the Turdbirds.
All this to say, Ozuna may now be my favorite non-Cub player in MLB.
