Historically great players sometimes do fabulous things when they're really old.

Ted Williams had a 1096 OPS at age 41.  Ty Cobb batted .357 when he was 40.  Justin Verlander this season at age 39.  Many other examples.

Instead of making up stuff with no evidence whatsoever about Pujols, let's applaud and enjoy a special feat from a historically great player and class person.
LOL  Reb, seriously, lighten up; you're going to have a stroke.   Poking fun at Cardinals is a pastime for a number of us.

Thanks for reminding us of REAL heroes.   In Chicago, we compartmentalize the accomplishments of Sammy Sosa because we see evidence of his PED usage.  San Francisco still praises Bonds.  Isn't it interesting that the national media is quick to laud Judge's accomplishments and refer to him catching Ruth and in range of beating Maris' "record" of 61 home runs?  No mention of McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds.  But what does St. Louis do?  They name a bleacher section after Big Mac Land.  They bring him back briefly as a coach.  The links between LaRussa, Canseco, McGwire, and PED's has long been hinted at.  When a former teammate mentioned in a radio podcast that Albert might be getting help, he was quickly censored.

It's not that big a deal and a lot of us joke about such possibilities.  As far as I really know, Albert's clean.  But I might be making that up.
