Unless the team is the dodgers with Kershaw or the Sox with Sale... or Tigers with verlander etc...
When you are playing Russian Roulette, you will often end up with you skull intact after pulling the trigger. It is a question of what the odds are, and having pitchers less than 25 years old throw more than 150 innings significantly increases the risk of serious and longterm arm or shoulder injuries. The more above 150, and the younger the pitcher, the greater the risk. The younger the guy is, the farther away you want to keep them from reaching 150 innings.
Smart teams have begun to realize this.
The Mets are not a smart team.
