Yeah, I saw that too.  Intent is important.  Even though it says FA draft, the "intent" was your major league roster.  Having a keeper fall into this situation wasn't foreseen.  In other words, let's wait and see if we need an adjustment and we may need to reword this during winter meetings.

I believe the dodgers intend to option Urias... if that is the case and that is the move they make i would think tico would have to move him to the minors and release a minors player to retain him...

Its one thing to skip a starter thru april... but its another to say they are limiting him for a couple of months in extending spring training to hold back his innings. ... its another to say a team is going to hold back a starter for 2 months to save his innings... this is a super unique situation...   As i believe the dodgers are trying to play some service time/roster games...

I am sure rich hill will hurt his tongue and be dled in a few weeks and it wont matter... but from what i have read is the dodgers do not want Urais to go past 150 IP this year... if he is in "extended spring training" into may its a loop hole they are exploiting.

One of the Twins other starters might have a little 'accident' and make that 'issue' moot. ;)

Dang it, Curt, I know you are teaching me the ropes and, in return, I take the crappy locations, but even I refuse to go to Minnesota.

I'm sure you've noticed on the internet, Jon Gray has begun having problems with his big toe as you requested, however.  Not sure what you have against the Rockies to want to dl near their whole team, however.  Or jr's every year.

Glass Onions just got bad news...

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/03/mariners-option-dan-vogelbach-to-triple-a.html
Glass onions have to waive Vogelach (that's what I get for picking up a Red Hornet castoff) and sign Danny Valencia  (aka Netali Perez Jr)

Don't worry method, I'll be able to work it out with the commissioners just fine, thanks.

If he goes to XST on Opening Day, what is his status as far as the 25 man goes? I think that's the question that needs to be addressed.

If he's on the 25 man, and just not with the team, and the Dodgers are playing a man short for however long, I think you'd have to leave him on your roster and take the 0...much as the Dodgers would be doing.

The other options are the DL or demotion to the minors, and those are self-explanatory under our rules.

AJ reed has been optioned... before i make a move, anyone have interest in Ian Happ?

Looking for an RP as i'm pretty sure Albarto Mejia just lost his chance at making the roster with last nights shellacking.

Sure am glad I drafted this guy.  I guess this what you deserve when you draft a Deadbird ...

Kolten Wong said Sunday that he would "100 percent" rather be traded than be platooned at second base.
It was one of a host of scathing comments from Wong in the wake of Cardinals manager Mike Matheny saying Saturday that the club would consider a platoon at second base. "I honestly don't give a (censored)," Wong said when asked about the team mulling over a platoon. Wong added that he doesn't want to be "wasting my time" with the Cards if they don't have faith in him. They're words Wong probably shouldn't have aired in public, but you can understand his frustration after the club essentially committed to him as the regular second baseman this winter. That said, Wong could make it all a moot point if he simply played better. He sports an underwhelming career .248/.309/.370 batting line and entered Sunday hitting just .182/.265/.250 this spring.
