So are rosters frozen right now? Or can add/drops be done?

Is the replacement process a draft like process or does a team fill all of their issues at their specified time?

For instance I currently have McCullers, Alvarez, Kirilloff and Moreno showing injury designations. While I think McCullers is the only one who won’t start the season, IF I needed to replace all 4 would I do it all at once or would I fill one spot and then the team below me would get to fill a spot?

All at once.

It is only for guys that will start on the IL or are getting sent to the minors.  Just having a red flag isn’t enough to get a replacement.  If they are’t on the IL, you need to provide evidence.  Once you have made your replacements it moves to the next player, even if your time isn’t up.

Profar:  Profar agreed Sunday to a one-year, $7.75 million contract with the Rockies, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Some of you may have received the blurb from Fantrax regarding Ohtani.  It is now possible to split Ohtani into hitter Otani or pitcher Otani. Two separate players in the league.  Joe and I discussed our options and we decided that since our draft is over, we won't split them this year.  I own Ohtani and I will have the choice when it occurs of switching him from pitcher or player.  Next season, if he goes FA, you will have TWO Ohtani's to choose from in the draft.  If he stays with the Angels, I will have to declare which Ohtani I will keep and which I will release into the pool.  Can both Ohtani's be on the same team, yes, but it is unlikely.  Can pitcher Ohtani strike out batter Ohtani?  Wait and see.  We believe this is the fairest way to proceed.

There is a lot of time to figure it out for next year but if this is up for a vote or discussion I really think a team should get to use Ohtani (or any future dual players) in both positions. It is part of the value someone like Ohtani brings.

This obviously wouldn’t help me so it isn’t self serving. I don’t currently have him and don’t plan to be near last place at the end of this season.

Since I would benefit from that rule, I certainly would love the discussion, but if it came to a vote, I'd have to abstain.

I think next year how we deal Ohtani can be brought up for discussion.

My ideal would be the team that draft him gets both versions.  After that he would cost 2 keepers to keep and you wouldn’t be allowed to just keep just one or the other.

I think this would be the best way to handle Ohtani. If he suddenly became a .650 OPS hitter but was still a great pitcher, I like that the owner would have to decide if his pitching numbers were still good enough to justify basically playing with an empty U spot.

Again, I don’t benefit but think he should count as 1 player. Use him as a hitter when he isn’t pitching. Use him as a pitcher and hitter when he is pitching.

He is an incredibly valuable player and his fantasy points should reflect his true value.

Of course Curt traded almost nothing to get him due to our scoring system.  It probably makes sense not to modify anything until he becomes a free agent.
