Casas released, Araez to 1B, Donaldson activated.

Dave, I think I had him (Garcia) at one time, too.

Holy crap, you're 400 points from the top with 2/3 of the season left to go.  "I'm sorry, but the judge is a brute, let's settle for the death penalty.  This trial is over."  "But Mr. Lawyer, this is a preliminary hearing."

I appreciate the input.  If I am being objective, there are multiple teams in front of mine with better rosters.  With no playoffs I have 2 choices. Play for 4th place or sell off assets to improve for next year.  If I thought I had the horses to make a move I would go for it.  If we had playoffs it would be a completely different story.

My team doesn't have the horses to win over a long season.  My team would have a chance if we had 1-2 week playoff rounds but we don't have playoffs.  I have some players that can help other teams.  Moving up rounds in the draft helps my team.

I thought we voted to add playoffs, but then nothing happened.  Is that still on the table?  If so, my interest in moving players for draft picks will quickly disappear.

If anyone is looking for a young catcher who has gotten off to a pretty good start in his first 50 MLB PA, I'm looking to trade Patrick Bailey. I'm just looking for a draft upgrade, or a shortstop if you have one who is available and better than Amed Rosario (not a high bar to clear).

Kershaw, McCullers (should be back in July), Aroldis, Winckowski (1 round), Strzelecki (1 round), Raley (1 round), Sewald, LeMahieu, Justin Turner and Charlie Blackmon are all available for draft pick upgrades.  Some will require greater compensation than others.  The RPs (besides Aroldis and Sewald) would be 1 round upgrades.  The others would be more.

This is assuming we aren't doing playoffs.
