I think we would have to talk to support about coming up with a work around for that.

It will address the issue of people leaving them on the IL too long when they are healthy.

We need to talk to them BEFORE we ask the guys to vote.  I might be wrong but I think most of our guys want the waiver system cleaned up.  If we are to spend money, I'd prefer CBS.

Issues with CBS
-more expensive
-auto plays ads
-the app and website are more difficult to find standings and just generally navigate
-still wouldn’t likely fix the waiver wire.  The most likely answer is if the league wants to keep the 15 moves somebody is going to have to step up and track it
-doing transactions is worse on CBS
-free Fantrax has more features than paid CBS

If we PAY I'd prefer CBS.  If Pay Frantrax isn't better I'd prefer free Fantrax.  It's up to the group.  We need to to research both better.

CBS has pulled pretty much all of the features off line until Dec.  I’ve only found 1 website that have has a check marks.

I sent Fantrax a message about the waivers

Fantrax could not do the waiver wire, it would have to be somebody in the league.

It would fix people leaving the IL too long.

Guys, due to our inability to make contact with our potential Fantasy boards at the moment, we will have to delay our decision which service to use and if we want to pay.

Ray is asking for more time, which we have granted.

In the meanwhile, what adjustments to our rosters do we wish to make?  It's been suggested that we expand a bit.  JR has made his annual whine to drop to one catcher, which was denied.  Some leagues are reducing pitchers to 7; one closer, 1 RP, 5 SPs.   Here it has been recommended to expand to more pitchers.   I could see adding some utility players to help balance the pitching points, but we're willing to listen to suggestions.  Post here, at BBFL, or via email.

On sites, I'm happy to pay, whether at CBS or Fantrax.

On which site to prefer, I'm happy to defer to the views of those who administrate the league day-to-day - that's a significant burden, and one not shared by the rest of us voting.

On rosters, I support adding flex pitcher role(s). Where our rules attempt to mimic the MLB, and where the roles of SP/RP are fuzzier than ever in the MLB, I think our league becomes easier to operate when our rosters are in close alignment with MLB rosters.

The league is already stretched thin for hitters that are decent.  If we are add more hitters it is going to be so much harder to find replacement players on the waiver wire.

Ducks head.  If we add a pitcher we could decrease the strike out penalty to balance points.

To me, that's what divides the top tier from the bottom.  Can you draft some surprises, some guys who can move into a role if one of your stars go down.  OR, can you find someone in the scrap heap that can get you 350 points.

During the draft and early moves sure.  At the end of season it is already spin the wheel for what horrible player do I want.  Take another 30+ players off top and it would be painful to find something useful unless you are lucky enough for it to be a UT or OF.  Outside of that it is just bad, horrible if it is a catcher.

I still think we should turn one (or both) of the UT hitter roster spots into a UT player that can be filled by either a pitcher or a hitter. It gives everyone more roster flexibility. We wouldn't leave so many good pitchers on the wire, and that might leave us with a few decent hitter injury replacements.

For fantasy purposes, the Yankees have until Sunday night to add the additional year to Cole’s contract (from what I have seen so far)…

I removed free agents and guys who declined the QO from teams.

How do we handle Cole?  He opted out and the Yankees didn't add an extra year so it made him a free agent technically.  I don't believe he ever was on the market where another team could sign him, so I think he stays on the Glass Onions.  I'd just like to make sure that is the right call.
