Does anyone else have this issue?

When I click on "new" posts it doesn't go to the first new post I've yet to see. It jumps basically to the bottom of the page and I have to scroll up to find the newest one. If you aren't paying attention you can miss numerous posts. This has gone on for a long time yet I haven't seen anyone else bring it up.

Do I have a settings issue or is this a problem for everyone?

Yeah, I've noticed that problem a lot lately too.  What browser are you using, and have you tried others?  I use Chrome, but I haven't tried anything else.  I haven't noticed it when I'm using my phone, but I don't access it very often from my phone either.

Could it be a problem that occurs by having a certain person on ignore (you know who I'm talking about)?  I wonder if having his posts minimized might cause the browser to jump to the wrong post somehow.

I don't think that's it.  There are topics he doesn't post in, like the fantasy league, and it does it to me in that topic too.  I think it has always done this, I just have noticed it more, especially during our fantasy draft when things were moving fast.  I missed a lot of posts because of it.

I think I notice it more at the start of the day, myself.

I've had the problem for quite a while and have been unsuccessfully looking for a pattern.

I've even seen it happen when an unread post is on a previous page of posts.

Like br, I use Google Chrome.

I've even played with the look and layout option that lets you say how many hours you are from "board time".

I don't think it has anything to do with Chrome.  I use Firefox mostly, and I also happen to notice it on my mobile browser.

It is happening to me on Chrome, Firefox, the stock Android browser, and Firefox for Android.  Annoying!

I also tried Internet Explorer a few minutes ago on a topic I never read, and it cuts off two posts per page.

Actually, I just tried to duplicate the problem with all the topics that had multiple pages of unread posts.  I end up missing:

- 2 posts on every page on the trivia topic
- 1 post on every page on the other sports topic
- No posts on the Cubs history and BBFL topics

So what would cause the number of posts I miss to change based on the topic I'm reading?

I wonder if it has anything to do with reading topics with unread posts out of sequence.

If I know using the "next" button will take me into the BBFL topic, I hit "go" to go back to the topic list and then select the topic after BBFL.  It does seem like the problem has gotten lot worse since the BBFL topic became so active lately.

It's been doing that with me for at least 6 months.

If those are by davep, I'm switching to Explorer.
