Forums Back Online - and Custom Domain Users notice!

All forums are back online. If you are a custom domain user meaning users that do not use createaforum.com as their domain.
There is one change to make. You must change the ip address that ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com uses and point it to 184.171.171.98

We will explain everything in a follow up post on why there was no warning and the reason we had to change server providers.

On the plus side forums should be faster than ever since we are on new hardware.

Please report any issues that you discover in the support forums.

Nuts.  The missing post problem just happened to me in the Cubs in '13 topic.

Just noticed a strange thing with the skipping posts problem.  If I click on the "new" button, it will take me to the wrong place and I'll miss 2-3 posts.

But after I've done that, if I scroll down, click on the "Bleacher Bums Forum" link to go back to the main page, then click on the back button on my browser once the main page loads, it takes me to the post that it should have taken me to originally.  I don't know if that gives us any information on how to solve the problem...but it's a pain-in-the-ass way to make sure you don't miss anything.

I'll add that to the posts I've made in the Createaforum Customer Service Bugs topic

I always use the "GO" button if I want to go back to the main page.  Are you referring to the button just to the left of "GO"?

No, I'm clicking on the second "Bleacher Bums Forum" in the four links just below the last post on a page that looks like this:

Bleacher Bums Forum » General Category » Bleacher Bums Forum » Comments/Suggestions

Thanks.  It looks like that works the same as the "GO" button.  Is there a reason why you use that method instead?  Have you found it to be different?

No, I just never noticed the "go" button until I had already gotten in the habit of doing it that way.

Now I'm wondering if GO followed by the back button would do the same thing.  I'll check as soon as I see I've missed some posts.

The missing post problem does happen to other browsers besides Chrome, right?

Yes, it does.

And now my trick from earlier is no longer working.  Weird.

We've got to get this "new" post issue fixed. It's monotonously annoying.

The Bleacher Bums forum is Createaforum's second most active user.

I asked in the Customer Support area if any other forums were experiencing the same problem.  So far I've gotten only one negative reply.

I've been keeping a log of when I'm missing posts and believe it happens in our heavily used topics.  Dave23 is going to close one of them and start a fresh one.
