These announcements are not what is going to prevent any baseball from being played in 2020.  It will be what is going on all around the country.
Well, yeah...

Angels had own issue with testing today. Per sources, testers did not show. Players did saliva tests on their own; unclear if/how tests were shipped to lab in Utah. But Monday workout was pushed back from 9 am PT to noon, seemingly to give lab more time to determine results.

Besides the Angels

The Washington #Nats cancel their workout today while awaiting test results from Friday and the Oakland #A's still have not had a full-squad workout with their test results yet to be sent to a lab

Nats GM Mike Rizzo

The over/under on whether or not this announcement will be made?

The first two episodes of The Sounds of Baseball were well worth watching.  I'm looking forward to Bob Uecker being on.

An oft-asked question: Why can't MLB just follow the KBO model? The answer: the context is completely different for the KBO. South Korea, (pop. 52 million) has not had a day of 100 people testing + for COVID-19 since March 31. U.S.: 200,000+ tested positive in the last four days.
