Devers is the only significant pitcher-prospect name on the injured group.

Jack Patterson went from off the radar to the Cubs #31 prospect in 2020 and #29 prospect in 2021 (based on Baseball America).  He had TJ surgery in spring 2021 and has not been heard from since.

Brailyn Marquez was the Cubs #1 prospect entering 2020 and 2021 and still #3 by Baseball America entering 2022 (most other rating services had cooled on him by then).  Unfortunately, fixing a shoulder is like spinning a wheel and hoping for the best ...

Kenyi Perez is or was a deep sleeper on some prospect lists.  Hard thrower with no control.

Ezequiel Pagan is recovering from off-season knee surgery.

Shane Marshall had arm surgery in August 2022. The C to RP conversion will have to wait.

Jordan Holloway had arthroscopic surgery on his elbow early last fall.

Tyler Schlaffer had TJ surgery last August.

JP Wheat had TJ surgery sometime last summer?

Garrett Brown was an 18th round selection of the Cubs last year and has not played yet.

So yes ... it's still early but it seems like a relatively healthy MiL camp - so far.
