Matt Shaw finished regular season with 70 PAs at AA with slash line there of 292-329-523.
Smokies are in playoffs so possible that Shaw could end up with near 100 PAs at AA if Smokies keep winning. Only offensive downside are his low walks at each level.
So, questions: is it conceivable or even likely that Shaw starts 2024 season in AAA? Conceivable that he gets to majors by June or July next season and takes over 3B as a regular? Does Shaw’s potential quick rise impact whether Cubs try to re-sign Candelario this off-season?
