Manny Rodriguez is throwing off the mound again after leaving Spring Training with an arm injury.

Thank, blue, that's really good to hear.  Like lots of our other guys he's got some wildman, but he has some really good stuff I thought from the two outings I watched for him in camp.

That’s good news. He was the only one I was worried about.

Interesting wrinkle with the taxi squads from Keith Law.  He thinks every team will be adding top prospects who aren't ready for the majors to the taxi squads just so they can get some playing time in.

It'll be interesting to see how the Cubs handle that.

I was thinking about that today.  I don't know what the taxi squad will be paid, nor whether or not their time will be considered MLB active days or contract their free agency time or option years, but it would be kind of neat to see Brailyn, Amaya and Davis, and even the two left handed draftees face major league competition for a handful of games.

Davis was rumored to be in the 60 and they’ll play in South Bend.

They're having high school tournaments and stuff like that at Smokies Park.

Matthew Trueblood on a podcast mentioned that only people on the 60 man roster can be traded.

I suspect Christian Hernandez would slot in at #1 or 2 if they Cubs had been allowed to officially sign him.

Franco and Vlad weren’t top 50 prospects coming signing as 16 year olds. He’d be down around Howard.

That is about where I would have him, above or below Strumpf.
