Ayton with ours and Mikal Bridges with the NOH pick would be my dream.

In other sad Chicago sports news, the Blackhawks are going to miss the playoffs. Tonight they managed to lose 3-0 to Minnesota despite an 85-36 shot attempts advantage. That's nearly impossible.

The Blackhawks have out-shot their last two opponents 82-41 and been out-scored 9-1.

Not that it's his fault but I wonder how much longer Joel Quenneville will survive this mess.

It's hard to see a way for the B'Hawks to turn this around over the next 1-2 years.  Q might not want to deal with the rebuild even if management wants to keep him.

You notice who isnt implicated?

The Big Orange.

Rick Barnes has turned us around the right way.

Its awful disappointing to see Vandy on it though.

You know they expected more for their dollar...

Yahoo only had access to 1 years of records and do you know what team didn’t have a top 100 recruit or NBA draft pick during that time?

Tennessee

I know Creighton is on the list because Dawkins met with Justin Patton after he declared for the draft for a meeting that Creighton’s coach was at. As long as Patton paid for his meal no violation occurred.

Basketball recruiting makes football recruiting seem clean, so I wouldn’t go patting yourself on the back too much.

I guess Memphis is about to fire Tubby Smith?  Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised after all, but I guess I kind of am surprised how much of a disaster that hiring turned out to be.  I knew Tubby didn't like recruiting that much, but if you can't recruit talent in Memphis, you may as well just not be a DI coach anymore.  It just seems like he mailed in his coaching career the moment he took over the program.

I can't think Penny Hardaway is the answer either, but at least it helps them move on from a bad situation.

I think Tubby had already mailed it when he was here in Minnesota.

I think Memphis was unhappy with Josh Pastner and worked out a deal for him to take another job so they wouldn't have to pay his whole salary because they were quite unhappy with him.  So they hired Tubby Smith who was the complete opposite of Pastner.   Hiring Penny seems to be like going back to Pastner.

The "Peter Principle" applies to Pastner - great as a recruiter and as an assistant but over his head as the head coach.

Pastner, for whatever reason, refused to hire a solid X’s and O’s guy as an assistant at Memphis. He was given a golden key, but had no idea what to do with it.

Penny would get all those good Memphis kids and that would cover his shortcomings as a coach.
